• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Belt tensioner Roller failed, ruined my belt.

I have removed the vibration dampers from both our RT & F3-S. Originally I had the front & rear sprockets [pulleys] belt clearance on both machines absolutely perfect & almost no vibration. I decided to fit the dampers to try & eliminate the little vibs I had. I've spent untold hours moving the...

    2015 rt upper cowl shake

Had the same issue with my RT. Fitted quality car tyres & most of the shake '95%' disappeared.. As others have said, Kenda tyres are junk.

can't stand the parking brake beeper when activated, let alone a reversing beeper.

On my RT [manual] definitely foot pegs as nothing interferes with the shifting.

It's all about timing. With todays younger generation disinterested in motorcycles, combined with the above, the time is almost ripe.

    2020 rt

IMO, very little to get excited about. I' ll hang on to both my Spyders until Honda releases the neowing. In general, the demographic trend is towards an aging population, probably more so for motorcycle riders. That being the case & for safety concerns from most governments world wide e.g. [ in...

Was out for a ride today & met a guy riding a '16 RTL.& his mate riding a '19 RTL. During the chinwag I compared both seats to mine & all are exactly the same size. So you are probably spot on Mike. Thanks... treva

100kph slide, is nanna nuts or saviour ???

It sounds like you have all bases covered. As h0gr1der mentioned, most incidents have been 2up, which leads me to believe that when the nanny has been triggered, maybe more so if triggered a few times on the same ride, & the circumstances all line up, causes an anomaly some where in the safety...

100kph slide, is nanna nuts or saviour ???

Were you heading up the hill or down? If down, & those marbles [ well chosen word ChicagoSpyder ] were there when you rode through, they would be right on line. It's hard to remember every little detail when you've been "close to the edge...treva

100kph slide, is nanna nuts or saviour ???

I'm sure the dealer will find a heap of codes & send them to BRP for there assessment. Be prepared for some down riding time...treva

100kph slide, is nanna nuts or saviour ???

At 100kph, 2up, riding through corners & you upset the nanny, there is a lot going on. I may be wrong, but do we really know the 'TECH Nerds" covered all the parameters that a rider can throw at this bike & not confuse even momentarily something in the safety systems. The indicators not...

100kph slide, is nanna nuts or saviour ???

Glad to hear both of you are OK. Bloody frightening isn't it. Our RT definitely locked up the rear wheel at about 30kph. You sound a little confused as to what actually happened [ lockup or slide ] & I can understand that. Nevertheless, that happening at 100kph is scarily off the scale. Could...

Eco mode - who uses it? And when?

I used it for a few weeks after I purchased our spyders while I was running them in. After run in, never use that mode. Eco mode is too gutless if you want quick acceleration. Don't want to wait for the motor to build revs....Treva

Tri Axis handle bars and vibration dampner input request

I don't know your age/fitness level or how long time wise it took to cover 3300 miles, but that is certainly some distance. Riding mountain roads + the concentration particularly if there are blind corners is enough to beat up anyone. You didn't mention any physical problems ie. aches/pains so i...

    Frightening

Hello hogr1der, I feel it a sense of duty to let others know the outcome. I may be wrong but i think BRP in their wisdom threw a heap of parts at the dealer based on the list of codes. As you're stated i also hope BRP has the real facts..... I've just returned from a long ride by myself & it...
