• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Manual Transmission - Foot boards or pegs?

Which do you prefer and why? Do the footboards get in the way of shifting? Probably a pretty dumb question....

Either transmission & definitely boards, unfortunately there have been boards that limit movement not so much interference. Have boards on my two wheeler too with a heal toe shifter. Is nice to be capable of minor position changes.*Note* Have not tried highway pegs yet, on either bike. Soon enough hopefully:2thumbs::popcorn:

I installed foot boards on my F3S. When configured as instructed, my left foot was constricted getting under the shift lever. I had to raise the rear one position to lower the front enough to make shifting easier. Once that was done, I’m comfortable and happy with the floorboards. I notice that the ones I bought don’t seem to be offered any more. Maybe the ones now offered don’t have that problem.

I had floorboards installed on my 2014 RT SM6. I loved it. The heal toe shifter was great. It allowed me to not mess up the toe of my shoes, and gave me more movement.

I just bought my first Spyder a few weeks ago. The previous owner put nice floorboards on it and I couldn’t seem to get them just right. He couldn’t locate the original foot pegs so I sourced a factory set. Hands down the pegs are spot on and the transmission shifts so much smoother now. I realize that it’s all personal preference. I’m much happier now.
