• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Federal and Kumho experience on front ???

Yep, force via roller applied to tire while it's spinning on the balance machine. Don't know if it's new or not but do know not all tire shops in my neck of the woods offer it.

Federal and Kumho experience on front ???

Had the Kumho Solus tires mounted and road force balanced 19,000 miles ago. Still have plenty of tread left. No issues with them at all.

    Need quick opinions, please

My belt moves on the rear pulley somewhat after backing up. Also on occasion it moves toward the outside of the pulley after turning. Neither situation is abnormal or cause for concern (per my dealer tech). Aligning the belt isn't rocket science. The dealer ought to check the alignment while...

2014 RT SE6 Oil Change Itervals

Thanks, but was not wondering about the specific number but rather the "long" interval.

    Brake light stays on

Might try using a razor blade to shave a little off the brake pedal rubber stop. Doing so will allow the brake pedal to come up just a tad further, activating the switch and turning off the brake lights. Possible solution until you can get it checked out at the dealer.

2014 RT SE6 Oil Change Itervals

Could be the reason, but if I remember correctly the oil change interval on the 998 motor was 3000 miles, so BRP could have gone to a 5-6000 mile oil change interval on the 1330 and still perhaps quieted some of the complaints. But, they went to a 9300 mile oil change interval and I suspect...

2014 RT SE6 Oil Change Itervals

I hear what most are saying about oil breakdown/shearing and replacing the oil in their Spyders at about half the mileage BRP specifies, BUT I can't help wonder why BRP would specify a 9300 mile oil change interval and warrant the 1330 motor for 4-5 years...kinda risky, no?

Treadwear on rear tire of 2014 RT ...what's expected life?

Hal, that's about what I got on my OEM rear tire. My Kumho Ecsta AST has 17,800 miles on it and is about in need of replacement...think the center tread is below minimum to pass safety inspection. Been running between 28-30 lbs in it. Getting a Yokohama S Drive installed this week.

    Kuhmo ecsta ast

I replaced my OEM rear tire at 7,788 miles with a Kumho. It's about ready for replacement after 17,000 miles. Currently running 27 PSI but have run as high as 30 PSI.

Hopping Fenders During Braking and Uneven Inside Tire Wear

Kenny did the dealer change the calipers or the rotors? I had this issue during Spyderquest last year and my dealer replaced both rotors...they were warped causing a shaking when braking. Not sure about the cause of your tire wear other than maybe bad OEM tires, but you mentioned they have...

    Water/crud inside instrument Cluster

I had the same problem with the glass over the gas guage and instrument cluster...dealer replaced the gas guage and the cluster glass under warranty. Check the rubber seal around the lip of the front trunk to ensure it is fully seated all around...might be the cause of the water.

    Wrong Oil Change Kit

Doc, I doubt that dealers use the oil change "Kit" when doing an in-house oil change. My dealer stocks the kits for customers as well as the individual parts and pieces. They use the individual parts and pieces as well as BRP bulk oil when they do in-house oil changes. Of course, as we all...
