• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rivco aluminum bumpskid vs Spyderpops bumpskid

I'm the one who did the "unplanned Impact Test". I hit a deer with my 2015RT LTD, at about 45MPH, just off the left of the bike's centerline. The deer went down, and I drove over its rear end. I heard a loud bang as the suspension compressed all the way, and I came out of the seat (but...

    Rivco RT Front Bumper

Look at my post here: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?99037-Spyder-1-Deer-0 It saved me a bunch of money!

    Spyder 1, Deer 0

No, I don't. I thought about going back but I wasn't armed, so I couldn't have finished it if I had to. I drove by on the way home that afternoon and saw no sign of it. Hopefully, it lived and learned a valuable lesson -- cross only at marked deer crossings!

    Spyder 1, Deer 0

The Rivco bumper took the force of the blow. It mounts with what looks like 3/16th inch steel. It actually bent the steel a little bit on the side of the nose that hit the deer. You can see that the bumper is a little high now on the left side. Other than that, I see nothing else wrong. I drove...

    Spyder 1, Deer 0

I agree. I'm seriously thinking of keeping it parked in the mornings, now with rutting and hunting season approaching.

    Spyder 1, Deer 0

Thanks! I hate to think what would've happened had I been on two wheels. Based on how I hit it, it probably would've knocked me down at a minimum. What's funny is, I am so attentive to deer. Put a saw horse in your front yard when I drive by and watch by brake light! But both times I've hit...

    Spyder 1, Deer 0

After riding motorcycles for probably 200K miles, it has finally happened. On my way to work, 5AM, 40 degrees out, I hit a deer. The deer went down and under just left of center. I was on the brakes hard; I remember steering to keep the bike straight with the braking force. The left front...

FOBO / Tee- valve stems / 2015 RT Limited

    1. I just added a Fobo set to my 2015 RT, including the t-valve on the rear. No interference at all. The Fobo can actually go on either valve stem of the T. 2. I would assume so. I actually had mine installed when I replaced the rear tire with a new Arachnid tire, so the balance was done as part...

Got a sound that worries me

The verdict is in JohnnyK's Powersports (great dealership BTW!) fixed it. They consulted with BRP, and were instructed to switch the front brake rotors. The sound went away. How bizarre!

Got a sound that worries me

Today, I actually took my helmet off, went to the end of my paved driveway and accelerated (precariously) toward my garage. I then hit the kill switch, and geared up for hitting the brake. I just let the bike coast. There is a sound there. Almost a groan. And, there seems to be some resonance...

I would agree, but not only because you have an awesome looking avatar!

Got a sound that worries me

It's interesting that you said "blew out the rotors and calipers". On the work order from the first dealer (where I purchased the bike), I was charged for brake cleaner. Not really sure why though. Almost makes me wonder if they were thinking along the same lines. What bothers me though, is the...

Got a sound that worries me

No I haven't. But wouldn't that result in a constant sound, rather than a cyclic sound? The belt is a constant, as are the sprockets. I would expect the resulting sound to be a constant also. It would seem to me that there is no "event" that would occur in the process of running the belt across...

Got a sound that worries me

I bought a brand new 2015RT LTD last June. Last November, I took it to JohnnyK's Powersports here in Ohio to get the laser alignment. I mentioned I was getting some shake in the front end, and they ended up replacing the right tire. Fortunately, BRP warrantied it. When I picked up the bike, they...

Here's some Tips on Lifting the RT!

I'm sorry, I didn't see the part number discussed in the past. I did search this forum before purchasing. I did measure before I purchased. I suspect the display sample was not the same model that was in the box below. They all sell for the same price. A person would have to enter the store...

Here's some Tips on Lifting the RT!

This is ridiculous! The jacks look exactly the same. I didn't even realize there was a different jack. Did you know to buy that model in particular, or did you just get lucky?

Here's some Tips on Lifting the RT!

Other than the fact that the handle on my jack is T-shaped, that looks exactly like the one I bought. But, mine says it's item 60536. I wonder if there was some subtle change in the design that accounts for the height difference.

Here's some Tips on Lifting the RT!

That should work. I just don't remember anyone saying "lift the bike, then jack the bike".

Here's some Tips on Lifting the RT!

I have a 2015RT LTD. I just bought the Harbor Freight ATV jack. It won't fit. I'll either need to lift the front a little bit before I use the jack, or I'll have to take the wheels off the jack and lay its frame on the floor. Why doesn't anyone else mention this when they talk about a jack? Am...

Anyone else have a squeaky front end?

Even a squeaky front end? They might look at the squeaky front end as a warranty item? The one that bothered me the most was the bolt that would've interfered with the brake, had it been on the opposite side. I contacted them on that, and they said "contact your dealer". It seems to me that...
