• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone else have a squeaky front end?

Kind of disappointing to spend the kind of money I did for squeaks when going over bumps.
Not to mention the dash bolt that fell out and was lost.
Not to mention the floorboard mounting bolt that backed itself out the second week I rode it. You know, the long one on the left which is better to have back out than the one on the right which would interfere with the brake pedal?
Not to mention the smear on the inside of the instrument cluster lense. Not terrible, just irritating. I'll fix that someday.
Not to mention the bad front tire that was replaced (fortunately, warrantied) at about 3,000 miles.

Just venting. I've put 5800 miles on the bike since I purchased it in June. I love it! Just a little disappointment.

Warranty repairs

Those items all seem like issues the dealer should be addressing for you? I had some similar annoyances that I am still dealing with as well. Mine are mostly just poor workmanship related and will be addressed in spring. I know what you mean about disappointing, but I truly think the bike is solid, just technicians that are trying to complete book jobs under the time allotted and they get sloppy.

Nope I got a "squeakie" rear end.
:joke:

Hang in there, all is not lost. Use the warranty to the Max.

I would have the dealer put your spyder on a lift and start tightening every bolt, somewhere they will find one or more loose, especially around the front end.

Even a squeaky front end?

They might look at the squeaky front end as a warranty item?

The one that bothered me the most was the bolt that would've interfered with the brake, had it been on the opposite side.
I contacted them on that, and they said "contact your dealer". It seems to me that they're passing the buck to the Dealer for a flaw in their quality control. Are they saying "the Dealer puts them on, they need to deal with it", or "the Dealer is our quality control take it up with them"? Who is responsible for product quality?

To the best of my knowledge the Spyder in the crate is 90% assembled. So I'm guessing you " contacted " BRP and was told to contact the dealer. This would be normal in all instances. BRP doesn't make "house calls ", it's taken care of thru a Dealer. It will be determined who was " at fault " so to speak. ie if the piston isn't connected to the crankshaft this is not the dealers fault.....however if your front wheel falls off , this is the dealer's fault.........It will/should be fixed /re-paired on BRP's dime, just let them know about it. .....and I agree stuff like this should not happen ......Mike [/COLOR]
