• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Web site

Before I contact Lamont am I the only one having problems periodically with the website. Sometimes it just freezes up when trying to get in and sometimes when I am in and try to go to another page it freezes up. Seems to happen at least once every few days, I do look at the site several times...

    Fuel Canister

I have read many posts regarding over fueling and the fuel canister issues. I have a question regarding over fueling and when it goes to the canister. On the RT you have the hole where the gas pump nozzle goes that is a metal area and will hold a little fuel when it overflows but will drain...

Lamont Ram Ball Attachment to Dash

Once in a great while even a dummy like me comes up with a decent idea. Besides I could not bend a wrench like Lamont to tighten a nut.

Lamont Ram Ball Attachment to Dash

I loved Lamont's idea of attaching the Ram Balls in the two corners of the dash. He said he had some problems getting the nuts on, had to bend a wrench, etc. Well I sure know what he meant, lost several nuts, got frustrated and came up with another idea that was painless. I purchased the...

    Re fuel and touring

I have both the REDA and KOLPIN. The Reda will fit in the side saddle bag and hold a little less than a gallon. The Kolpin will only fit in the Frunk and holds a true 1.5 gallon and it is much heavier duty and has a built in handle.

    RT-Limited question.

It does not, was a misprint in the brochure. The dealer should know this.

Want to hook up battery tender connector

Thanks for all the quick responses. I have the 12v plug adaptor but thought I read that wasn't the best method. Sure sounds like the way to go. Also read an old post you had to remove the left side body panels for battery access, thought it was a misprint, guess not. Thanks to all.

Want to hook up battery tender connector

I went through all the posts I could find, looked at the manual and not being the brightest mechanic around still can't figure out how to get to the battery. I purchased the battery tender junior and the connector that attaches directly to the battery and want to install it on the battery to be...

    TWO MONTH REPORT

I have to agree that the initial setup is probably very, very important. The mechanic at my dealer that installed my multitude of options was of Japanese decent and worked for Honda motorcycles in Japan for 20 years before coming to the US. He was not the quickest but was very meticulous and...

    TWO MONTH REPORT

Mine is also 2 months old, 2200 miles, had one Limp mode screen, disappeared after several minutes, that is it. I have every option BRP offered including XM, CB, GPS, etc. all working perfectly. My fuel economy actually seems to be going up a little also, waiting for a few more fill ups and will...

    CB Transmissions through external speakers

This may have been brought up before, but I really would like a fix. I have a Victory Vision and a Canam RTS that both share the same type of CB system. The nice part is the cords are the same and I did not have to purchase an extra one for my passenger. I have had both an HD Ultra Classic...

Kuryakyn Grips on the RT (with heat)

I have one very dumb question, the grinding that Lamont speaks of, is that on the ISO Grip or actually on the paddle shifter?

    Fueling

When fueling my new RTS (2 months, 2,000 miles) I always hold the pump manually and wait for it to shut off. I then hit it one more time to make sure it is full and always look to make sure it seems full. Today, did the same thing, but thought I would see if I could baby any more fuel in...

    Semi Automatic

I now have 2,000 miles on my new RTS with the semi automatic. I have noticed on several occasions that it did not downshift on its own. This happened today when I was coming to a stop from 5th gear and then went to change lanes very quickly to go around someone and it bogged down, reason being...

    Changing Oil

I have a question for the experts. I will be leaving my Spyder in Florida for about six months in my garage. The oil change will be due just about when I leave. Are there any plus or minus's to change before I leave or wait till I return.

Fuel Economy - is anyone getting better?

It seems very strange that some are averaging 25-26 and some up to 34-35 MPG. At the beginning of the thread some thought the right hand was to blame for poor economy. I was out yesterday for 255 mile run and was on the freeway for 1/2 doing 84mph and country roads the rest really on the...
