• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    last rYde for 2008?

It will be cool in the morning ---- But it will be clear so will probably take the Tryke to Dialysis. Might come home, rest a little, and see if Sunkawakanwi will go to lunch on the Spyder. For a good meal she will put up with a little cool weather.

Of course but---- Several more Spyders around the area than any V-8 powered bikes!

    Most annoying thing about Spyder

Yes---- Anyone else have an annoyance? People that know all about Spyders without ever riding one. They are right up there with the "I used to ride but had to lay one down to AVOID an accident!" people.

    Baldwin CR-83 and CR-87 Alabama

As I said--- Most cars with that size tire and the power to spin it that far today will have a version of limited slip. With even the older system like I had on my '70 Charger there would be only a few inches before it locked and both tires would spin. With the older bias tires it would...

    Baldwin CR-83 and CR-87 Alabama

Pretty sure. About three places, down center of lane, single tire, similar tread pattern. Main thing, most autos with tires that wide would have some sort of "posi-trac" and would leave two marks. Also, they don't have the little "hook" at the start that most street cars leave as tork pulls...

    Baldwin CR-83 and CR-87 Alabama

Okay, who has been smoking their Spyder tire between Elberta and US-90 on these two county roads? For instance on the Blackwater River bridge!?

Northwest Florida, Lower Alabama Spyder Riders

Welcome to the Spyderhood We have the place at the end of Strawberry LN off Greek Cemetary RD. Look for the "No Trespassing" with the "one shot - one kill" bullseye drawn on it. Spending more and more time out there, will be fully moved soon.

They almost lost me anyway. After I got my owner card I was able to get in correct but even then the map messed up. Since I have a large area rural zip code it just "guessed" my location and put me half way to Bay Minete. For you Alabama folks I am actualy a "Farm Boy" living about a mile...

    SE5 NO GO

"Don't Cry For Me BoneCrusher" I stomped, fumed, and cursed till BRP finally got it fixed but I again have the COOLEST RIDE in the DaVita Dialysis parking lot! It is even better than the 150 mph capable red Caddy I park next to. Heck, I even get as good milage as he does! Who cares now that...

    2009 Cruiser and Sportbike models?

Translation please! Does "Crusey" mean "Harley-like" or is that what us Yanks would call a "touring" model? SS

First cold weather ride...Need winter gloves, or glove warmers...

Cold riding Cold weather riding has its points. For one thing, people think you are crazy and give you a bit extra room! Up to three years ago I would ride in nearly any weather including a 50 mile round trip commute in sub-freezing weather. On the air cooled 750 Nighthawk I would just...

MY STORY TO TELL HOPE YOU READ IT.

Bout time you ar back on the road! Though my problems are not near a troublesome as yours I understand how the Spider can make a world of difference. Doubt I will ever have the nerve to ride in your city, I am scared of big towns, but am with you in spirit!

    gas tank low icon

Is it a problem? You have TWO trip odometers in addition to the total, just switch to one of them when you are getting close. Trouble with using the miles run is with the Spyders rather low milage and the fact that it seems to be one of the more difficult bikes to top off to the same point...

    Shunkmanitu

Iktome is home! On Saturday before last two of the modules appeared and the shop had the two down Spyders on the road in a couple of hours. I had posted a couple of notes after the fact but mostly have been riding. I would guess that someone at BRP finally got the word and expidited the...

    Cal-Sci Turbulance....

Differences I also am 5'11", with a 29" inseam. Tall from the Butt up. I also use the large with a HJC-21 "half helmet" with little turbulance. I do tend to slouch a bit when I ride and sit quite a bit back without any risers (long arms). For me an extre inch on either side would be just...

    Iktome Luta is HOME!

Missed the powwow. My youngest (30YO) Son returned to the nest this week and by the time we got him settled in and some more stuff moved to the farm we did not make it either. Hated to miss it but being retired takes up so much time we just can't get everything done. The CalSi large screen...

    Up date on SE-5 problems.

Don't want my money back, just wanted to ride as much as possible. Too bad "Lemon Laws" aren't really designed to goose Customer Service into action. Years ago when I was in the industry all a customer had to do was hint at a problem and they were all over the shop, even if it was a factory or...

    Iktome Luta is HOME!

Possible but------ On the SE the glitch in the sensor apparently would trigger false indications/signals allong the entire computer buss. They were able to duplicate the symptoms in the shop. Onthe SE it is tied together with the shift servo system and the ignition ineterrupt for the shift...

    Iktome Luta is HOME!

Don't know for sure. Yes-No-Maybe, Tony, (Parts Mgr) was out raceing today when the sensors came in so nobody knows for sure what shipment this is! The parts seem to be okay and they are here so the shop jumped and installed them! As far as I know both Spyders down for the problem are no...

    Iktome Luta is HOME!

So far (about 100 miles) it shifts great! Also, don't have the little hesitation while running at steady speed that it did before. Felt like a severe "lean surge" but it is gone now. Wonder if it had something to do with the sensor sending false siginals? Did some nice back roads and a...
