• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Said goodbye to the Spyder....

I picked up an 09 KLR650, which is what my main ride was when I bought the Spyder. I'd been missing the ability to tear off down any dirt road I found.

    Said goodbye to the Spyder....

Well after a lot of deliberation I opted to trade my Spyder off this weekend and have gone back to 2 wheels full time. The Spyder still IMHO remains an exciting ride and is a lot of fun, but for some reason that I can't quite pinpoint it just didn't satisfy me that much. Of course...

being screwed again by brp, tired of it.

Must be the wind deflectors that now come with the windshield. I agree with you though, my business would be going somewhere else. The dealer took payment in full without knowing when those products were going to be available and so it should be them who eat the additional $50 and not the customer.

being screwed again by brp, tired of it.

+1, I agree the dealer is the one that should be making this right. My dealer showed me the photos of the windshield several months back, but made no mention of pricing. Told me they weren't sure of the cost.

    HJC IS-Max Flip Face Helmet...

That's true...But I went down hard enough with a full face that my chin strap broke and it nearly cost me an eye. Something like the IS-33 is the least amount of coverage I would go with, no beanie helmets.

    HJC IS-Max Flip Face Helmet...

Good to hear some input on the IS-33, my wife and I were looking at them last weekend and have been considering picking up a couple.

    not zakley spydie specific but..

Things like that have their place. You see a lot of them around Daytona Beach for example as rentals for people to play around in. Key West is big on rental scooters also and you'll see these things down there as well.

    Pulls to the left...???

Well it's important for me to note that I haven't checked my brake fluid level. That was another poster who noted going through copious amounts of brake fluid. However when I asked my dealer to inspect my "soft" brake pedal they said both the fluid levels and pressure in the lines was fine. I...

    Pulls to the left...???

Can't make the left wheel skid. When it was in the shop for the leaking gaskets and bad plug wire I had mentioned to the service manager that my brake pedal felt soft. It feels like there's no resistance behind the pedal until I've pumped it a few times. They said that my Spyder wasn't one of...

    Pulls to the left...???

I've checked the tires, both are running the same pressures and the suspension is set the same on both sides. No pulling left or right when just riding down the road, only on braking.

    Pulls to the left...???

My Spyder recently developed a tendency to pull to the left under anything more than gradual braking. If I have to get on the brakes with any kind of effort it wants to pull to the left. The first couple of times it happened it almost took me into the other lane. I'm curious if anyone else has...

    Leesburg Florida Bike Fest

I've gone there for several years, but swore that after last year I wouldn't go back. It's just become to crowded for my taste and I didn't enjoy it anymore. Plus one of our group that rode up with us last year was involved in a bad accident on our way up and had to be airlifted to Lakeland...

    In The Rain------

Living in Florida and riding everyday rain has become a fact of life for me. I will say this though, even though the Spyder handles well in the rain and IMHO is much safer in the rain than 2 wheels. Do not get lured into a false sense of security when riding in the rain. The Spyder will...

This sounds like a good idea. Here's me and several of my good friends on our Key West trip back in January.

A story worth sharing regarding motorcycles vs bikes

Gotta agree with you there. 90% of the time the guys I ride with are on HD's, and not a one of them has given me anything but respect.

A story worth sharing regarding motorcycles vs bikes

You're right you find all types of personalities on all types of bikes. Much like you I'm an enthusiast of bikes period. I love'em all. Funniest part of the story though is someone in a car hollering for you to buy a Harley.:D
