• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SPYDER RTS STEERING PROBLEM - WARNING!

Ok I’m pretty upset with BRP tonight – here’s the story . . . I’ve been a Spyder owner since they came out – as a matter of fact, I got one of the bikes slated for the dealer and was driving one of the first “yellow Spyder’s in Virginia. Anyhow – I’ve been watching the RTS for some time now...

    Slick Corbin Seat

The reason it's goofy is because if you order a set of heated seats, flair, trunk and a few saddle bags you can damn near buy a new Spyder for what you'll pay for all that stuff. :ohyea:

    New Touring Machine!

The new Spyder Touring machines look pretty nice however so does my Goldwing Trike - not sure if I'm ready to let my Honda go as of yet, it took me a while to get her right. Anyone have one of these new Spyders yet? :spyder:

    Slick Corbin Seat

Even though Corbin makes a great seat - they are in big trouble. After seeing the new Touring Spyder, now that they have competition, perhaps they can get real with that goofy pricing they have on their products.

    Steering problem update...

Just getting back into my Spyder after a 6 mo leave - my steering was acting up as well but in the last 10 rides it didn't show up. Mine would be hard to steer for a second or two then clear up, are there any recent developments I should be aware of? Also, after I had the problem I made a habit...

    Need a Bigger Shield!

I'm just getting back into my Spyder and I'm looking for a big windshield. I did install a larger one about a year ago, I think it's 18" or so, but I'm looking for a touring windshield - any help? Thanks - Mike

No more heat to my right leg

I forget who it was, but one guy was using a simple bilge blower used in a boat - seems that would be the easiest and cheapest!

    Steering Problem

Took the old Spyder for a ride yesterday and noticed on three different time it felt like the power steering quit working for a moment - after I finally jerked it to stay on the road it seems to wok fine. Almost feels like the tire was in a groove. Anyone else having this problem? it was fine...

BRP Outside cover: no direct sun?

They say that because they don't want you to cover the bike up because they won't be able to sell anymore if no one can see them!!:chat:

    Headlights Flashing???

I don't think the intensity of the light is changing with speed just perhaps the focus.

cold air vs fog light theory

The whole idea of the fog lights is to be more visible to cagers - I aimed my fog light up to match the hight of my hi-beams for daylight driving so I guarantee oncoming traffic can see me coming.

Think I'm about done with Deals Gap

Regarding the speeding - we've all seen the dare-devil 100 mph YouTube runs through the gap with the rice rockets - these are the guys who screw it up for all us when we get caught with our pants down on a simple overtaking or just the normal every day winding through the gears. Each year there...

Think I'm about done with Deals Gap

Not to hijack the thread - and I do understand your pissed, but can you share with us any info you have one your fans - they look like bilge fans how much were they and did you install them yet? Thanks

Now I remember why I stopped buying this

Well - I've owned the MP3 and of course, I own a Spyder - the MP3 does ride like it's on a rail and is very safe, however while it will track a stright line better than a Spyder, the MP3 won't hold a match to the performance and the safety of the Spyder. His comments clearly represent 2 wheel...

    Just Curious

Ok - After reading about the airbox problems - I decided to run mine a bit low as well. Ok, I have another one for you guys, I'm sure you've all heard when some cars or trucks start up, you can hear the main bearings and or lifters clank away for a few seconds until the oil pressure hits them...
