• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Scorpion's New Helmet exo 900

we have the HJC Sy-Max with the built in sun visor (retractable). That shaded visor is the best thing about the helmet.

    Female Spyder Riders Only!!!!

Try pulling the long hair up to the top, twist and coil. Have to hold it with something elastic, no hard metal or it will hurt, put the helmet on quickly but this is only good for short trips as the wind and movement will drop all the hair out of the helmet and make a big mess!

    Brake failure...again and again

Rarely use the E-brake, before the recall it was a pain and never held...so I just got use to not using it unless on a hill.

    Female Spyder Riders Only!!!!

Long bangs? Remember that anything you wear under your helmet will hurt like (*^&$%*) about 30 min. into a ride. The bouncing road, the turns, etc. will cause the hair pin, barrette, etc to dig into the scalp, break the hair root, etc. That is why the only "comfort" is the flat hair cap...

    Brake failure...again and again

Scotty, It seems like they want to try all the cheapest fixes first, I guess that makes good business sense. There is no time left to order and replace a master cylinder before Hollywood. They did not work on the bike Monday, I called. They said that they were going to have to pull BRP in on...

uhg, spyder heading into the shop

first let me thank you for making feel a little more "normal" having also suffered from a series of Brake issues. You can look up my postings, cause I don't want to be repetitive (did I spell that right?). Mostly I want to give you a "bright side"...your bike is not constantly scrolling the...

    Female Spyder Riders Only!!!!

Several things to try, you will have to try them all to decide what works best for you. 1. Wear a "cap" (or tie a bandanna or use a do-rag thingy) between you and the helmet. You can control the way your hair lays flat under the cap, but not under the helmet. Make sure the "flat" direction is...

    Brake failure...again and again

more like...driving, hit brakes, brake pedal bottoms out, alert starts scrolling (like I didn't know that I just had a brake failure), I pump brake immediately, and regain pressure but brake remains squishy and fails intermittantly.

    Spyder Caravan to Hollywood

looking forward to it...still gotta get out of here. We are still waiting to hear from the other Lemorons as to what route they are taking. We were thinking of taking a charge at the 'vine, stopping for lunch after Magic Mountain around where there is the Wood Bros place, In and Out, etc. We...

    Brake failure...again and again

A few months ago, they noticed that brake fluid had chewed away the paint off the frame. They took the bike in late Dec., tore it down and repainted the area, went through the brakes, no leaks, no loss of fluid but a loss of pressure, like air in the lines. It has been back 3+ times, (everytime)...

    Brake failure...again and again

Hey Scotty, I will get back with you this evening with the part #'s you want. I called Clawsons and they have not had the time to look at the bike yet. I am a stubborn woman, who despite having brake issues, took the bike on a 300 mile ride on Saturday through lower Yosemite (in one entrance...

Any solutions for right foot heat?

of course....at home, I am at work now. Send me a PM as a reminder and I will pull it off my refridgerator wish list. I also have a request into BRP to split the cost of this item as it was an obvious "fix" on the 2009 for a potentially dangerous issue. BRP rep said to make sure I wear heavy...

...chill :spyder: I plan on freezing it and keeping it portable ice chest. This way if I break down, I can survive several days on water and chocolate.

    Sighting from Canada...

...my daughter is hiking in Canada and stopped for coffee. She spotted 6 bikes, one white BMW, four Harleys and one yellow Spyder. Melissa asked and they confirmed they were on the way to Hollywood. Here we go....

    Spyder Caravan to Hollywood

Watching your posts, you do realize that it is supposed to be over 100 degrees on Friday? We are thinking of leaving earlier but will keep in touch. There are 2 more leaving from Lemoore on Friday but they are thinking of driving over to the coast to pick up another spyderryder and drive down...

Any solutions for right foot heat?

what year is your bike? 2008's are missing (as my bike is) the right deflector shield. This was an upgrade they made on the 2009s. Living in Central CA where summers are mostly over 100 degrees, I agree that something serious must be done to prevent the 1st degree burn I received about 8 weeks...
