There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Sounds like overfilling to me but i could be wrong. There is a problem if you overfill by trying to top it off were fuel seeps down and leaves a strong odor. I have it sometimes when the nozle isn't empty and i put it in the tank to fill it and it drops some residue but it usually only lasts about 50 miles or so after its spilled.

exhaust

Interesting I did fill er' up yesterday, that certainly could be the issue, I've driven about 60 miles today and the exhaust fumes are still pretty strong, I'll see what the next few days will bring.

Thanks!

....gas?....bad batch of chili beans? :roflblack:

There's a big difference between a gasoline odor from overfilling and an exhaust odor. If the odor is exhaust fumes, I'd suspect bad exhaust gaskets. Several folks have had to have them replaced well before the standard maintenance interval, and BRP redesigned them. Another possibility is the addition of a larger windshield, which can sometimes cause exhaust fumes to accumulate or be drawn forward.

If you did overfill and the evap canister is full of gas, it will take a long while to dissipate.

well this brings about a new opportunity as I did put on a new larger windshield on the same day that the exhaust fumes started ( and they are exhaust fums, not gas odor).
well now what, I LOVE the new windshield?

I had the gasoline fumes last time I rode too. My husband was on his bike ahead of me and he could smell them at a stop light. We arrived at our destination and I just took the gas cap off and reseated it again, no fumes. Hubby had filled the tank up the night before and thought he closed the cap all the way, he heard and felt the click, so he thought it was fully closed. Now if I smell the gas fumes, I recheck the cap, just in case.

I'd check the exhaust seals anyway. If they are leaking, the fumes will be released closer to you, and persist because of the windshield. Beyond taht, I can only jokingly suggest to go fast a lot. :D
