• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Dead Spyder

Before you ride off again(even if it's serviced at the dealer), on the underside of the brake fluid caps, the rubber has a vent cut, it should be rotated near the little bump on the top of the plastic part of the cap. Whe the brake fluid caps are tighted down to the resevoir, they should be aft...

We did a large sloppy figure 8 last night that included the lizard tail(old sonoita highway). Looked like all the racetracks in Vail were busy.

    CLEANING OIL STRAINER?

Packings, o-rings, gaskets, seal/crush washers...usually says to remove and replace, not re-install. The copper seal crush washer, I have reused them because the dealer didn't have them...just the filter and no filter o-ring. The strainer on the oil tank has a crimped strap clamp that requires a...

Any reputable dealers in Phx area?

A similar thread is running in one of the other forums on here, reminded me of when Ride Now let their BUDS membership lapse. Had to wait a week(to be safe), I think it was nearly 2 though...No BUDS, No Glory.

    BRP's Trained Dealership Technicians

Oh Yeah...I forgot one of the local spyder dealers let their BUDS membership expire...that itself took a week because of the laptop problems.

The shop may not be swamped vs low staff count. It's hard to get people to want that scene, often just minimum wage...nothing like what MMI commercials hype. Fun for a while for most, but they move on. Same pay in a clean, air conditioned enviroment some where else is a big mental pay raise...

    Dead Spyder

Man, that even makes me mad. So cheezy, wonder if they have charged time against it yet. Throw some parts at it to add another 20% so the can give you a 10% discount for their mistake.

    Anyone build a Drag Spyder?

There are/were a few turbo charged ones on here, one did some time on Bonneville Salt...He's on engine 3 or 4. Nobody's done a time run on Pikes peak yet that I have heard of.

    Thought I would share this...

I am a little suprised the belt tension roller wasn't originally included and isn't a permanent addition from factory, no belt tension to worry about until worn and settles the belt down.

Can I use any type DOT 4 brake fluid?

Remember to aim the caps topside bump and underside cut on the rubber aft...so it doesn't dribble down the resevoir, down the lines and eat the paint on the swing arm...and then have to refill it again.

    Thought I would share this...

Belt failure, yes...rock or other road debris you pick up causing belt failure, no. No longer a sterile enviroment once you hit the road.

    FEDERAL EVO 595 TIRES

Car tires are usually much more cheaper, durable and longer lasting than Kenda, but you seem to be doing great with them. Car tires are excess of what the Spyder needs compared to the weight and forces a car has, you may not even notice a flat or low pressure. Just beware of getting to...
