• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    ABS or Polypropylene

Hoping so....I have secured primer, Cognac Paint, and clear coat and want to repaint the side bag covers (awful factory job) as well as the dash trim panel.....tried to paint Poly-p in the past with not so good results.

Wouldn't dare park anywhere where a Harley does.....already heard enough about getting a "real Motorcycle"........

    ABS or Polypropylene

Does anyone know for sure if the dash trim panel around the gauges is either ABS or PP? I have examined it very closely and cannot tell which it is. Usually, the type is molded into the back with the ID of the type.

    Headlight bulbs in the ST-S

To the BRP Research and Development Department, or whoever designed the replacement procedure for a headlight bulb, what were you thinking? Got the Spyder home yesterday and noticed the left low beam bulb was out. Ok, not a problem. Got out the repair manual and read up on it and thought this...

    My first breakdown

Finally back home in Virginia. Got Mom into a better rehab facility. Anyway, back to business. I picked up the Spyder from the dealer yesterday. All seems good now and I certainly hope it stays that way. Everything was covered by the warranty. There was a list of about 10 parts on the work...

    My first breakdown

Follow-up. Still down south in Florida dealing with the medical issues involving my mother. Received a call from the dealership yesterday advising me that the needed “parts” finally arrived for the repair. Still don’t know why all of these “parts” were needed to re-attach the shift lever...

    My first breakdown

Yes, that was my original way of thinking about it when it happened. However, since it was towed under the BRP Roadside Assistance program, I left it at the dealer to be absolutely certain that there was nothing else wrong since it was/still under warranty. I was also scheduled to leave for...

    My first breakdown

Pulled the shift lever off of the end of the connecting rod last nite. Had to hold in a padded vise to break loose the pinch bolt. Nothing was worn out. So I was able to put the lever back onto the splined shaft and cranked it down firmly and there was absolutely so free play or wiggle, so it...

    My first breakdown

Didn’t see those markings as it was getting dark. I’ll look tomorrow in daylight. The splines on the shaft and the arm are intact. Didn’t have any tools to loosen the bolt but it was tight. Looks like it may have just slipped off for some unknown reason, as when I attempted to push it on,it I...

    My first breakdown

So when I get the shift rod back on, should everything turn to normal or will something have to be reset? I have it partially back on the shaft but it still shows 3rd and will not shift of move.

    My first breakdown

On the fence wins! I can see the dang thing hanging loose now. If I only had some tools now.

    My first breakdown

I’ll have to look at the shifter arm tomorrow. Having it towed home first. Bummer-BRP just called and told me that the original tow company they called no longer handles these services. Waiting for them to locate any company.

    My first breakdown

Beautiful riding day ruined by my first breakdown. Coming home, I went to shift from 3rd to 4th and then felt a brief hesitation. Thought I had missed the shift paddle, then realized it was stuck in 3rd. Starts up ok, still shows 3rd and the throttle lags when turned. No codes showing. So, here...

    Vibration and clatter

My 2014 ST-S does the same thing if I drive off almost immediately after cold starting it. I usually let it idle for about 3 minutes to get the engine temp up and that reduces the initial engagement to almost nothing.

    Frunk inner liner for a 2014 ST-S

Forget my last comment. I did not see your pictures in your original post, now I do. I see what you mean on the gasket and how it fits/works. Thanks.

    Frunk inner liner for a 2014 ST-S

So, does the original rubber frunk gasket remain or does the liner have one on its top edge to replace it?
