• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I would not recommend Arc LED Daytime Running Light / Fog Light Replacement Kit

I can do the OP one better; I have a pair of shrouds that I did not use because I added spacers between the mounting plate and the light bracket in order to extend them more farther out of their hidey holes. Looks better too. He could do that too, instead of complain. If the OP will PM me, I...

I would not recommend Arc LED Daytime Running Light / Fog Light Replacement Kit

All I see here is the missing shroud as mentioned in post #11.

I would not recommend Arc LED Daytime Running Light / Fog Light Replacement Kit

Maybe I enjoy a challenge more than most do. Like making a silk purse out of a sow's ear. For over 40 years, I had a machine repair biz and can not count the times I had to improvise to make things proper. BTW, there's an inexpensive shroud that fits in that recess and fills in the blank...

Newbie in Arizona wanting to know Next Spyder quest/festival or info.

I have a friend, Tom, also in Payson, who bought a Spyder for his wife. He thoroughly checked it out to learn how to ride it so he could coach her. During the process, he'd keep me posted. He said one thing that really got mu attention: This thing goes around curves faster than my bike. We...

2014 RT Ltd Spyder with new battery won't start! Ideas?

Never start a hibernating engine. Let it sleep unless you intend to take it out for a long ride. Starting and running for a few minutes harms the battery and a lot more.

Where is the thread on putting emergency pull wire on frunk/seat?

Here's mine. This is the one in the frunk, but either looks the same. With a pliers, I bent one the the tabs t the end of the spring to give me something to attach the wire to.

Accessory lights on 2016 F3 not working! Any suggestions?

LEDs are polarity sensitive and will not work if +/- is reversed. Check the polarity.

What's the one thing you think is Useless Junk on your Spyder?

Key / cable operated seat / frunk latches.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Remove the negative terminal bolt for size and dig through you cigar box / Mason jar of fastener odds and ends. A split lock washer will work just as well. Or any hardware store or building supply will have them. No need to order two lock washers.

What Power Outlets have you put in the Frunk of F3s? Pics?

My preference would be to install a fuse block that is powered through a relay that is energized only when the ignition is on to prevent accidental battery drain. USB chargers are electrical parasites - always on and using current. Here's my source for fuse blocks - there are others, such as...

What Power Outlets have you put in the Frunk of F3s? Pics?

What type? A pigtail to the battery for hooking up a battery tender? Something for accessories? Or...? If it's to connect accessories to, a fuse block is best. That way, you bypass the bike's fussy electronics.

    Removing rear wheel

PinkRosePetal, Lemme get this straight. You have machined the spacers to what dimensions? Do I assume correctly that only the OD of the flange and the OD of the barrel were reduced? The 55 X 35 X 9 is the off-the-shelf seal and not the BRP seal? Got a number for that OTS seal? Does this...

Unwanted burnouts with new tire - anyone else? Advice??

I saw that in my searching and could not believe Discount Tire's price when I came across it and in stock at my store too. When I called, they kept asking, only one??

Unwanted burnouts with new tire - anyone else? Advice??

All this tire talk got me off my dime and get one of my winter projects in motion; putting a car tire on the rear. I have Federals on the front that made a HUGE improvement in handling and I have been assured a car tire on the rear will offer up a noticeable change for the better as well. After...
