• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Power to Zumo 396 on 2020 RTL?

That's what I did on my 2016RT. I assume they left the battery up behind the frunk on the new models too. I like it cuz I don't need the bike running to look at routes/maps..

    Ultimate seat

I sure like mine on our RT. My wife used to ride with me and she really liked the passenger seat of it too. (now she rides her own RT) Ours came with the fuel door and backrest and cost about $1300 at the last Spyderfest.

    March Weather News 2021

Riding a roller coaster this week in southern WI. 60's Monday, 40's by Wed and then 60's again by next weekend. We've had enough rain this past week to clean the roads off so if the forecast holds out, we'll be riding next weekend.

    Hope I didn't make a huge mistake!!!

My wife and I are in our early 50's so we feel sort of "techy". She got a 2019 RT last year and has messed around with "connect" a little bit. Honestly, she just prefers to listen to music from her phone bluetoothed to earbuds. Last week we both got new helmets with SENA units....so we'll see...

Anyone tried "Speed Bleeders" brake bleeders?

Has anyone tried these on their Spyder?. I just changed my brake pads and was thinking about flushing a bit of the old fluid out. Wondering if anyone has any reviews on this style bleed system.. http://speedbleeder.com/feature.htm

What did you do to your Spyder today?

New battery and brake pads. We're getting some needed rain to wash all the crud off the roads, now, if the sun would just shine and warm up a bit...It is still March, and it ALWAYS snows at least once in April in southern WI. Patience.....

    First Service Done

I think Tango was referring to the ELka shocks...LOL....but I do agree with your point on the Vredesteins. I'm glad I chose them.

    2021 Riding Season

We got some good rain last night to dissolve and wash some of the road salt away, but not much warmth on the way...

Do you feel like these "washout" the turn signals as all being that close to them?

    Maximizing 2020 RTL trunk

If you buy fitted luggage, it too is taking up space. Just use some soft shell duffel bags for optimal space in all compartments. The only so called advantage to the custom stuff is that some of it has wheels...which ALSO take up space. Custom luggage is the biggest space taker in itself

After User reports on Vredestein Quatrac 5 tires?

I'm very happy with the Q5's on the front and the G/A RT43 on the rear

Loading your Spyder up a steep ramp?

The obvious answer is reduce the ramp angle. So, find a ditch to back up to, build extensions for the ramp, drive the front wheels of the RV up onto something, build/buy a longer ramp, etc....

Tying Spyder onto a trailer without damage??

A single strap over the top of each tire, in the travel direction.

    Exhaust....

That's fine ne dandy if you can actually find a local shop that doesn't have much to do, and is willing to "experiment". Not happening around here in my corner of the world that's for sure. Kudos to those that would do this though. I'm happy with the RLS setup I have. Yeah, it was probably a...

    Tire questions

In the grand scheme of things, a pair of tires is a pidley amount of money when you consider your investment of the Spyder. Buy a set, ride on em for 1000 miles and if you don't like em, get something different. I can only comment on the Vredesteins, and I definitely prefer them to the OEM's.

Why is it so difficult to post a picture while trying to reply to a PM? Where is the little "attachment" icon like the one here in the forums? What the heck am I missing?
