• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Oil - why would you use Rotella T6, a diesel oil, in your Spyder?

Simple, as it meets all the specs of the over rated BRP oil. It's readily available and about half the price. It's worked fine for me in my previous 998 and the current 2021 1330's.

Trailer hitch - is this a good way to temporarily remove it?

What type of chock system do you have that the hitch would interfere with? The hitch doesn't extend back any further than the trunk does. I would just leave it on.

Will this Enclosed trailer fit both an RT and an F3L?

We haul two 2021 RT's on an open 7x14 trailer without any issues. However, being open allows for easy tiedown and access. An enclosed 7 wide isn't going to offer as much access. It'll work though, just drive the first bike on and then shift the rear over to one side, then back the second bike on...

Can't quite decide between Spyder and Ryker

Once I finally talked my wife into riding her own bike, she bought a Ryker 900 and rode the crap out of it. She really loved it for the first year....but after riding a few cold days, on long rides, with minimal storage and protection, she rode our RT. It didn't take long for her to trade the...

Driver's Seat section longer than others - what gives? Fix?

Yup, I think you have an after market or comfort seat meant for the longer-legged drivers out there. I would think you should be able to find someone to trade ya that for stock.

To grill or not to grill that is the question

My thought is that adding the secondary grills just creates another layer to clean...and with two layers of junk stuck, in my opinion that will slow down airflow even more. I do like the look of some of them, but for cleaning and cooling purposes I've opted out from buying them

Routing USB power out of rear trunk 2012 RTL

just make tiny notch, just big enough for the cord to lay in at the top of the trunk, then run the cable down through the hinge slot and under the seat. OR, buy a USB cord from Spyderpops and power it from your battery. Then its live all the time...

Looking for the perfect rain suit

Everyone has a different idea of perfect. Yes ideally you'd ride in a hurricane and be dry afterward, but we all know that won't happen. You can stay dry from the rain, but maybe be hot from sweating....I've stayed fairly comfortable in the BRP gear I have. We bought it at a rally one day just...

Is training really needed to ride a Spyder?

Training...probably not..practice, absolutely, especially transitioning from 2 wheels. My wife never rode 2 wheels, but she hopped on a Ryker and just "got it"....Now she's on a '21 RT and doing awesome.

    April 2022 Weather News

More snow again here in southern WI, woke up to white ground again today, with no relief in sight, other than a 60* rainy day Monday, then back in the 40's and 50's for the next week. It was just a couple yrts ago that we got 6" of snow on April 16th.....YUCK!! The ONLY positive is that it melts...

What's everyone wearing for Riding Jackets?

Totally depends on the weather....opinions on gear are like buttholes...everyone's got one. Do what feels best for YOU. Me, I feel that it is just as important to be comfortable and alert at all times, without ANY distraction form gear, whether it's too hot, too cold, too big or too small, in...

Is there an accessible Hot power supply on '21 RT?

The connection of GPS base went off without a hitch, and as I was doing that, I decided to add a USB charger cord for my cell phone to the same power supply. HOWEVER, my phone says it's a slow charge. Is the slow charge because of the phone cord, or the power supply? I was hoping for a quick...

    April 2022 Weather News

April is always frustrating in Wi. One day it's snowing, the next day it's 60*. So far it's rainy and snowy every day and there is no good weather in the forecast. I usually pull my snowplow off the lawn tractor May 1st if that tells ya anything...
