• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2022 RT S2S Accessory Connection Gremlin .. Help Please :)

Based on the wire size of the factory accessory connector I would not run more than 5 amps through it. I just looked at my manual (2024 RTL) that connector is fused for 5 amps only and it is listed as right side, top, #6 fuse GPS_Acc 5 Amps

New Update Nov 30 '24 - anyone updated their '24 RT? What does it do?

Majo1982, I have the connector, I think. I was installing the Afterburner Lights and had to access the left lighting connector (arrow) . On my bike (2024) there was a terminated three pin connector just above the lighting connector on the left side, there was not one on the right side. I...

    Happy New Year!

I hope all the Spyder Lovers had a Merry Christmas, and I just discovered that you can "ring" the ornaments in the holiday banner with your mouse. Then once you do that, each keystroke also "rings" a bell.

PLEASE ATTACH ALL PICTURES/IMAGES AS THUMBNAILS!

I do not get a second screen with an "insert" option it just loads the file and says it is too big. I remember the old site had a screen to "select files" and then to "upload" them but now it just opens the folder on my computer where I select the file and it loads from there. I am on a PC by...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Built a custom license plate frame that holds two Denali high intensity running/brake lights on either side of the tag. They required a flat surface to mount and there were none on the rear of the RTL. Made it out of 0.22 thick polycarbonate. Now I just need to find a nice frame for the plate...

    Need a Madstad "T" Nut

Look here: https://www.mcmaster.com/products/nuts/t-slot-nuts-2~/ - if you can measure the slot opening and know the thread of the knob you should be able to find a good replacement.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Added the Spyder Extras Dual horn kit. I typically mount Stebel horns to my bikes, but it looked like there was limited space where the stock horn is located. I tried them out BEFORE install and was happy with the difference from the stock single horn. I had some difficulty even getting them...

New ISCI hand brake on GS Spyder not working properly. Any ideas?

Sounds like there is still air hidden somewhere. Try pushing fluid UP from the lower cylinder to the handlebar reservoir (be sure to empty it first). This is what your kit should look like:

Planning a Pacific Coast Highway trip - looking for suggestions

We left Seattle and made it to Gold Beach OR the first night. Then to my home town of Novato (just 30 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge) the second night. That is where we stopped going south and went east on 88 then through NV on 50. IMO Salt Lake City would be better than Denver and the...

Will Can Am Spyder/Ryker prices rise?

The threat of tariffs is an excellent negotiating tool, in that they do not have to be implemented to be effective.

    What happened to the hippies?

I grew up 30 miles from Haight-Ashbury (birthplace of the Hippie movement) entered high school in 65 and there was one kid in the yearbook with long hair. By the time I graduated in 69 there were just a few of us with short hair. Left the area shortly thereafter with the US Navy and never...

How do you '24 RT riders pair BT headsets with Android Phones?

Thanks racoon, I missed that in the manual and will check it out today. And the rest of the story... Went back and read the info on page 49. Got the audio into the headsets. Made and received phone calls. All through the bike. I like it as all the info is on the screen including my...

How do you '24 RT riders pair BT headsets with Android Phones?

I am a total noob when it comes to BT on a bike. All my time in the last 20 years was spent on a 2005 BMW K1200LT with a hard-wired intercom and an audio plug for my old phone. I now have the Sena SRL2 in our Shoei Neotec 2 helmets and a new Samsung S24+. Then I buy a 2024 RTL and am trying out...

New Update Nov 30 '24 - anyone updated their '24 RT? What does it do?

I bought mine on the 15th of November and last week I hooked it up to WiFi and it said I was up to date. I think I know where the connector is for the backup camera as I was installing my Afterburner Tail Lights today. On the left side where the light harness was there was a three pin...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Installed the SE Performance LED Driving Light Bar. You cannot have enough lights if you drive on less than four wheels. I liked this one as it was a full 10" and lots of bright LEDs. The hardest part was getting the wire bundle from the front hole back to where I could bring it up without it...

Found some chafed wiring on my brand new 2024 RTL - anyone else?

If it is rodent chew it happened at the dealer as I have only had it home one night. I know rodent chew as I had it on my BMW M240 convertible, twice. Once in wheel well, and once on the top of the engine. But I got 'em. Now that I look at it more, I believe you all are correct. Dealer mice...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I went out to get my very first gas fill up on my new RTL. Then I came home and ripped off body panels to run a high current power line from the battery to under the rear seat for my heated gear harnesses. See my post in "RT Shop Talk" about what I found under the rear seat.
