• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Who Out There Has Gotten The Replacement Sprocket?

Had a call from my local dealer last week and took it in that afternoon to have the sprocket replacement accomplished. I believe I've been fortunate because the service manager, during an earlier visit to inspect the sprocket, indicated they were unlikely to receive the warranty "kits" before...

Please, I need advice re Putting a Spyder on ramps?

Ive used a pair of high strength "nylon" (or some other space-age synthetic) for both our Spyder RTs and Fiat Abarth without any problems. I used them when installing KOTT grills and for that task I drove them on mostly to have unrestricted space to work while sitting in front of the machine...

Any TPMS recommendatons that include a monitor?

There are a bunch available through Amazon (isn't everything?) but I don't recall one that monitors three tires. The alternative is to opt for a four-tire version, with dash-mounted monitor, and simply not make use of the fourth sensor. Be sure to note the tire pressure range of the ones you...

Gauges acting a bit strange - any ideas on cause?

Agree with that entirely. Disconnected the analog gauges on my wife's 2012 RTS, before she traded it for a newer model, and found the digital gauges were much more stable and reliable. In fact, we removed the analog fuel and temperature gauges and replaced them with a digital voltmeter and a...

What's with all these BS fees?!

Jim Evans, Gaffney, SC, has a 2016 RTS listed for sale here on the forum. He posted it just this afternoon in fact. It might interest you and he's not too very far from you it would appear.

Tank pads - Does anybody have them?

Go to Amazon and type motorcycle tank knee pads in the search window. They have a bunch of them. It largely depends on what you're looking for.

Do I really need a GPS?

No, you don't really need to spend $$$ on a dedicated GPS. Some swear by the traditional GPS while others use their smart phones exclusively. We happen to have Garmin 396s on our Spyders. They're securely center-mounted, take up little room, and work well for us. On the other hand, we use...

Red Dust of Death Recall???? Front Sprocket Recall - FINALLY....

I stopped by my local dealer Saturday (happened to be the annual "Block Party at Kent Powersports, San Antonio, TX) and had a chance to talk with the service manager about the front sprocket safety recall. Here's what I learned. My 2015 RT-S will be inspected tomorrow (about 30 minutes). If...

Why would the clock self-reset to 24 HR format? Fixes? Ideas?

Perhaps you unknowingly have the special fighter pilot clock? No worries though, it's easier to convert from 24 hr to 12 hr than it is to convert from degrees C to degrees F. ;);)

2022 RTL - where is your battery tender connector located/routed?

Same with my wife's 2021 Sea to Sky. The cable has a small red "Remove Before Flight" banner attached as a reminder to, well, remove.

Sharing the love with the Guzzi

Back in the 1980s I bought a Guzzi V50 III for my now ex-wife. She rarely rode it, but I loved it and rode the daylights out of it. Light relatively quick, nimble, and it looked very nice (when compared with other bikes of the age). Not to mention it was Italian and I love things Italian...

No headlights on new 2022 Spyder RT - HELP?!

What Peter says!! Some inconvenience having the problem taken care of by the dealer under warranty is far better than ending up having to pay for it yourself because a bit of DIY voids the warranty.

Do these Side View Mirror Stabilizers do what they say?

I installed a set on my wife's 2021 Sea to Sky - the ones on Sling Mods that have the square base with standing rod. I chose Lamonster's set and am pleased with the results. His video is an excellent installation guide too. I noticed that Sling Mods indicates the base and rod version are only...

    Traded My Ryker

Sure doesn't look like a 30 year old Jeep. Nice looking vehicle! Bad news regarding the Ryker but at least the short-term owner of your Ryker was OK. Enjoy the nest phase in your life!

After suggestions on Cleaning black body parts?

I've used Back to Black with some success - easy to find. Also, Pierre at canamspyderaccessories, com has a short video covering a product he uses and sells.

    NEW VIDEO! My 2021 Sea-toSky and 2014 RT-S

Great video Joel. And thanks for the info on the turn signal telltale lights. I put a pair on my wife's Sea to Sky and she loves them. My next question is who makes the HUD you installed and where did you get it? We think that's a great improvement. Thanks again for sharing your amazing Sea...

Now that's what you call a trailer

All it needs are COORS decals on each side of the tank. Or Fosters, or Bud Lite, or whatever your favorite brew might be.

    Toy for rich boys

Initial thoughts: 1. A couple of miniguns would make it really impressive. 2. If it fails while airborne, the dauntless aviator is toast. 3. It probably has the glide characteristics of a brick. 4. For anything approaching even a short cross-country flight a very long extension cord would be...
