• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Dog carrier for Spyder

Dog carrier That is sooo cool! I too needed the space for a human (well... a wife), but she insisted on getting her own Spyder (shopping this weekend.) In retrospect, it would have been cheaper to get a dog sitter! Actually it would be cheaper to take the dog and lose the wife, except for that...

    Dog carrier for Spyder

100 lb Lab Yeah. 100 lbs would have waaaay been beyond my capabilities. Jake is 18-19 lbs and I can barely fit his lazy butt behind my wide one. A project for later on down the road is to create a fiberglass one molded in a curve to fit the backrest and matching the lines of the Spyder, seat...

Cycle Hauling, Transport & Tour Service to Out West?

Renting Yeah, I actually did think about that, and investigated pricing etc. but it "irked me" (as Joe said) to rent two Spyders when we would have two sitting in a garage in Charlotte. Plus, on a purely selfish note, I want MY Spyder out there. Is this rational or even practical?... not...

Cycle Hauling, Transport & Tour Service to Out West?

Touring Joe, Sorry you're irked. Bottom line is: We just don't have time to ride 4000+ miles round trip... plus 1500+ miles once we are there. My business, her job, pets, limited vacation time for this trip, and a few other factors, don't make that possible for us right now. I sort of wish we...

Cycle Hauling, Transport & Tour Service to Out West?

uship I contacted Uship and posted the specs and did not receive one bid. I think because it was of the return trip issue. If I just wanted to ship one way, that may have been less of an issue. but one way and then back a week later. ????

A MAP HOLDER THAT REALLY WORKS

Map holder I can't tell from the picture. Does it hold anything besides a map? I'm looking for a tank-something that will hold a few more things than the glove box.

    Dog carrier for Spyder

Jake- Mobile Jake has a pair of Doggles but doesn't care for them. Maybe at higher speeds that will change. I appreciate the advice though. We always take water for him, but since Mrs. Wyngman has to pee every 1/4 mile, it usually isn't much of a problem. It's funny that when not riding, he...

    Dog carrier for Spyder

The pet carriers online were grossly expensive or not the right size, so I looked at a few and ended up making my own. This is just a prototype, but seems to work well. We may need to put a mesh screen over it for a little high speed protection, but the spoiled little goober now thinks it's HIS...

Hey Cjakcg, What model of Dowco bag is this? They make a bunch. I need one for the same reason you did. You know... to have instant access to my... water bottle.

    NC AREA SPYDER RYDERS

Charlotte Rycing I live in Charlotte and wear a multi layer mesh in Fall and Winter (rain, thermal and mesh) jacket with UnderArmor layers for 40-60 degrees. I hate to say it and will probably take some crap about it, but I wear walking shorts and a tee shirt in the summer. There is a reason...

    Lamonster BBQ

Lamonsters BBQ & Hotel I just talked to Misty (sweet lil thang!) at the Jameson Inn (their web site is down) and found out something very interesting. Someone (Lamonster?) has arranged a special rate for the "Spyder Motorcycle Event" of about $67 per night. We're booked in. This will be our...

    Lamonster BBQ 2012

Lamonster's BBQ Wasn't there a thread where the date was locked down and a few hotels nearby mentioned? The thread mentioned above is still undecided. I remember clicking on a link to hotel and checking out the rates at $85ish per night which I thought was great. ERRRRRRR! Never mind. Found...

BRP Demo day in May at Concord Mills Mall Parking lot

BRP Demo Days Unless it is May 17th weekend, I am in. We are headed to Myrtle Bike Week that wknd. This is what BRP needs to get more people aware and more mainstream! They need to send press releases to the local TV stations and ask their reporters to come take test drives ahead of time for...

Keith Larson's Ride for the Kids April 28th, 2012

WBT.com is sponsoring a charity ride starting from Matthews Fun Machines on Independence Blvd (in Matthews). Would be nice to see large contingent of Spyders there, especially since they are one of the few Spyder dealers in the area. http://www.wbt.com/keithsride/index.aspx

    Lamonster BBQ 2012

OK, I give up. I was sure I saw a thread on here for Lamonster's BBQ for Sept 6-8, 2012, along with hotel recommendations, etc. And now I am doing searches for it to no avail. Is the Alzheimer's kicking in? Is it gone now? or am I just losing it? Suggestion#1: If there really is a BBQ thread...

International Motorcycle Show Charlotte, NC Feb 24-26

Intl Motorcycle Show in Charlotte this last weekend I was busy Saturday, but made the show late on Sunday and it was a cool show. As opposed to the Easy Rider show which was mostly showing off custom bikes, this was about vendors and selling stuff. Everything from bikes to gear. BRP was there...

Cycle Hauling, Transport & Tour Service to Out West?

At the Easy Rider show here in Charlotte a few weeks ago, I ran across a company (http://lynnisenhour.com/) out of Winston-Salem that has a service where they will transport your cycle (on pre-scheduled tours) with other bikes, and then take everyone on planned rides. For example, Sturgis, SD...
