• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I Designed & built a camper to pull with my Spyder...

Looks like you did a good job putting it together but I would be concerned about the wind resistance and how a cross wind would affect handling of the trailer and the Spyder?

Any info/advice on successfully Tinting Lexan or Polycarbonate?

You might check with Gustafsson, I have a light smoke windshield on my 22F3S and really like it. I don't know if the tint is applied to a clear windshield or bought with a tint from their supplier. They use a high grade acrylic so it would be best if you gave them a call, good luck.

1330cc Could this burble be an Exhaust Gasket? Which part for a 1330 Motor?

You can search canam parts: exhaust system donut if that is what you are looking for and it is part number: 514054174 at the dealer or parts online??

2022 Ryker Rally - Rattle in Drive Shaft/Under Seat at Low RPM/Speed - any ideas?

Good to read that you are happier and more confident than you were initially and the BRP explanation does have merit especially item 2. You had a new engine just breaking in as well as a new power train: belt CVT clutches etc. breaking in and you were probably being super careful with the new...

GEICO - anyone had F3 Body Shop Repairs done Following Collision?

You can order the plastic parts from the dealer but if you take the broken pieces off check that the metal support pieces are not bent. You can do the work yourself or take it to a Can am dealership, taking it to an automotive body shop will add cost with no direct benefit. The plastic parts...

Which upgrade would you do first ?

The first thing I would do is have your ride height checked and if necessary adjust the spring preload on the front shocks so that the front end is at the right height with you, passenger and cargo on the bike. If you are below the ride height spec you will notice an improvement in straight line...

22 F3S MFI Stage 2 First Impressions - very nice (no airlid mod)

I sent my ECM to MFI in Ontario, and it took about 2 weeks from shipping to receive back. I asked Steve to leave my rev limiter at stock since it's harder to detect the tune at the dealership and I don't believe there is any need to raise it since I shift at about 7000 RPM at WOT. (Torque drops...

HowTo: Making my own baffles for 22 F3S Cat delete

After riding the Spyder with the cat delete and baffles, I can say that the system is louder than stock but not obnoxious. My helmet helps to tone down some of the noise so that I don't need to wear noise blockers. With the MFI stage 2 the Spyder is very responsive in standard mode and pulls...

Can-Am does some things right, others not so much

I give you the last word, a full tank to the brim still has the air pocket???

Can-Am does some things right, others not so much

I am aware that you can continue to fill the tank after the pump kicks off at the bottom of the baffle but from the Can am perspective they are trying to reduce evaporative emissions and the risk of spillage of the gasoline from over filling the tank. The empty space at the top allows room for...

Can-Am does some things right, others not so much

I bought the F3S last July and I don't use the phone app or a communicator at all, the gas tank is what it is but over filling it to the top may get you evap problems down the road and I don't plan on getting a TPMS system. I prefer the KISS system so the less electronics on the dash the happier...

Any tips on what to look for when doing my New Spyder's inspection?

Page 63 of my 22 F3S Operators Manual says "see the Can Am dealer for front end adjustment" and page 292 of the shop manual gives you the rest of the info, including the recommended preload height of 16 17/32" (between the upper and lower shock absorber mounting bolts) with rider, passenger, and...

Any tips on what to look for when doing my New Spyder's inspection?

Have the dealer set the front ride height on the suspension, this means that you, a passenger and your expected luggage should be on the bike when the measurements are taken. They can then crank up the preload on the front shocks to the Can Am spec so that the front end steers the way it was...

How Much Do You Use Wide Open Throttle?

WOT=acceleration=exhilaration, have to pull a couple of gears at WOT every ride to see if the Spyder is alive and well and the driver is alert. Not in traffic, only on the highway when it is safer to do so.

What is your opinion on the plastic oil pump gears?

I haven't owned my Spyder long enough to have any history on the nylon gears but I do know that they were used by GM in some of the car engines (cam shaft sprocket - metal hub with a nylon running surface) to provide for a quieter running timing chain. Yes they did wear but I didn't experience...

2022 Ryker Rally - Rattle in Drive Shaft/Under Seat at Low RPM/Speed - any ideas?

I doubt that it being lent to a "training school" on a closed course would have any adverse effect. The cause of the rattle should be evident as others have stated once they take the belt cover off. The CVT is a pretty basic system consisting of a primary spring and governor cup with levers...

Review: Alberta Lithium LiFePo4 LFP 20L-BS battery - failed at 1 month?!

I didn't have to, as the OEM was replaced under warranty late last fall. The LiFePo4 have a much lower discharge rate from my research and prefers to be stored at less than full charge, so you probably wouldn't want/need to put it on a charger when you are down south. The battery would only be...

Looking for opinions on when to do the first oil change?

I did my new 22 F3S first service at about 2000 miles and was reminded by the dealer service writer several times that it was not required until later. It was last October and I wanted some fresh oil and filter, OEM battery warranty etc. before storing for the winter. I agree that the first oil...

Review: Alberta Lithium LiFePo4 LFP 20L-BS battery - failed at 1 month?!

22 F3S Open the frunk, remove the 4 push pins (one at each corner), remove the trim piece that covers the latch by pulling up at each corner to pull out the pins from the rubber grommets, pull towards the front and set aside, lift up the basket and carefully position it towards the right side...

Is a replacement Lithium Battery the way to go? How have you installed yours?

You can trim the top bracket so that it drops down and secures the battery or you can use some small styrofoam spacers cut to size one on each side and pressed down into place. The top bracket does hold the battery pretty well but if lateral movement is a concern the styrofoam will help...
