• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    I think some dealers are blowing smoke about having Spyder in shop before ordering parts. My dealer just called me and told me my parts are in and I should bring my Spyder in. I made an appointment for week after next as I don't live close and had to work around other things I have going.

    "The scope of the recall is based on the Model Year and the Mileage. It is NOT VIN number specific." It is not all models for the given years, only certain models.

    You can't go strictly by date. Your dealer can tell you if you qualify based on your VIN. You should also have gotten a letter letting you know your VIN is part of the recall.

    Are the stock cables long enough when installing short reach bars?

    Yes they are. You may need to undo a zip tie or two though. On my 2018 F3L I didn't have to do anything other than a straight swap out. Made all the difference in the world for my riding comfort.

    Anyone here like planning their own routes?

    I use a Garmin XT on the Spyder. I plan all of my trips using Garmin's Base Camp. I even plan trips I am familiar with as it shows useful info on what's ahead (gas, food, etc.) I download directly onto the XT. This seems to work the best for me.
