• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Long Weekend Incident Report – Can-Am Spyder RT Limited

Hopefully it will give you good service from now one. I am on my 5th and 6th Spyders. So far I have had good service out of them all. I did make a purchase a little while ago that really scared me. Picked up a 2016 Mini Cooper S for the wife. Very low milage, and had all the good equipment and...

For those going to Maggie Valley next week, Keep an eye on the weather!

I have actually been to a rally up there during the later half of one of those tropical storms. Sometimes the mountains tear them apart and you have great weather 10 miles down the road. One year the wife wasn't going out due to the steady rain in Maggie Vally that morning. I went anyway. As...

Has anyone lowered a 2020+ RT seat?

I have come to the conclusion that whatever the seat and on whichever bike, I still can only get 100 miles out of it and remain comfortable. I have an AirHawk and a gel pad that I use when necessary.

Why so many Rykers for sale?

Thanks so much for the insight. I am on my 6th Spyder. I have been rather lucky with each one of them. I even had a 2012 RSS that I loved. Only issue with it was the excessive heat. The most troublesome one so far would have to be my current 2021 RTL. That is mainly due to the poor quality of...

Why so many Rykers for sale?

I have noticed a lot of Rykers (Spyders too) for sale over the past 3-6 months. They are at really good prices and most under 8k miles. I was wondering if the introduction of the Canyon had something to do with it? I am not looking for a real "off road" type of machine, but with some of the...

OEM Battery getting weak, need a replacement for both Spyder's - what's recommended/preferred?

Funny thing, my 2016 F3L and my 2021 RTL both went out at the same time. One was 4 years old and the other was 11 years old. Never used a tender on either one, but rode them about once every 2weeks. I replaced them both with one from Batteries Plus.

After some True Can-Am insight - will I be making a huge mistake buying the RTL or F3?

As stated above, it is great that you found someone to let you test ride the spyder for so long. I also would like to mention that the 1330 started in the 2014 RT series and in 2015 F3 Series. I would not be afraid of any spyder from those models to the current one. The 2020+ RT series got an...

Doing a tech day - Raleigh, NC area!

I was just in Sevieville for 7 days during the Labor Day holiday. Wife and I were on the Mini Cooper and saw a lot of Spyders there. Possibly there for the bike rally that was being held in Maggie Valley on 9/5-7. The bad part was that 441 that runs from Gatlinburg to Cherokee is closed and that...

Doing a tech day - Raleigh, NC area!

As the title says, we are doing a local tech day to help some of the locals get more familiar with their machines. Nothing too intense, just possibly do a couple of oil changes or sway bar installs. Might even be just doing things as simple as showing others how to properly check fluids and tire...

Are Color Matched Rear Top Panels available anywhere?

I totally misunderstood the question. I thought you were talking about the actual color matched trunk for an RT to make it look like an RTL. As for the cowl or filler piece, I found one on Ebay for my Chalk White 2021 for $40. They person had it labelled as a frunk lid, so I knew he didn't...

Annoyingly, my '21 RTL will only cancel Cruise by touching the brake pedal or downshifting - are there any other ways?

I agree, and have mentioned those exact points to many people. I had a 2014 RT, but it had the same controls. I also liked the way you could change the settings on the shocks for the earlier models instead of self adjusting. That way, you could make the suspension stiffer when riding in the...

Annoyingly, my '21 RTL will only cancel Cruise by touching the brake pedal or downshifting - are there any other ways?

I don't find the windshield too bad, since I typically keep it in the down position anyway. But to be honest, if I had a later year model, but earlier body style like you, I would probably wait it out too. In my opinion (and only mine), the earlier models had better build quality. I loved my...

Are Color Matched Rear Top Panels available anywhere?

I would have thought they were available, but now that I think of it, every base RT that I have seen just has the standard black finish when they add the trunk. I do know that the trunk for the F3 series did come in colors. The F3L in 2016 didn't come with a trunk but I have seen them being...

Annoyingly, my '21 RTL will only cancel Cruise by touching the brake pedal or downshifting - are there any other ways?

Well, you stated the ways to cancel, unless you want to do it manually. It might be annoying, but it is just one of those things that you will have to get used to. Different bikes have different features. You have a choice of evolving or just sticking to the same old brand. Not being smart...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I had an awesome 3 wheeled weekend. Rode the wife's F3L out with a group of 5 spyder, 3 slingshots, and 2 harley. Took them on some nice country roads over by the Jordan Lake. Then got on some lesser traveled 4 lanes to meet with the Harley guy. The plan was to head down to Pik N Pig for...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Rode the F3L to the gym yesterday. Going to take it out for a fill up today when I run my errands. Got a nice little 180-200 mile ride tomorrow. Gonna ride around the lake and eventually end up at a nice BBQ place for lunch.

Rear seat won't unlatch! Any pics of the latch/latch location? Sure would appreciate any help!?!

I will definitely be following this, as my 2016 F3L rear seat is also stuck. I think I will look into removing the handrail and see if that allows me more access to removing it.

Getting close to decision time. I need some input from those who have ridden an F3-L and RTL?

Not quite your size, but I still consider myself on the bigger side (6'-2", 265 pounds). I have a 2021 RTL and a 2016 F3L. For taller riders I feel like the F3 series works better. For me, the fun factor of riding the sportier F3 also works better. As for windshields, there are many options to...

    2026 model year reveal 8-17-25 6:45 PM

Sounds like you have been through the good and the bad with her. I have an RTL for touring and the wife has an F3L (2016 Special Series) for playing games on. I too, would occasionally like to travel on some roads not fit for a Spyder. I have been looking towards picking up a Ryker in order to...

    Sorry, BUT I'm OUT

I am in the Raleigh area. Don’t know much about the mechanics of working on them, but have a garage and could possibly call on some friends to help. In fact, we are looking at doing a tech day in September to enlighten some of us who would like to learn more about the spyder
