• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Who has the best price for spyder insurance?

Wow! All over the place. I am with Progressive via USAA and pay $560 a year and have never had a ticket in over 40 years of driving, have MC endorsement and Rider's Edge MSF course. That is with discounts after being with Progressive for over three years now.

I hear you. I was a CWO when I met mine and she was brand spankin' new ensign out of OCS butter bar. I had 23 years in at the time and she thought she could boss me around. bwahahahaha :roflblack:

    Watchout for deer

In addition to that, I am a former LEO, my son is a current LEO and I have an excellent relationship with both the sheriff and game wardens. My place would be a very foolish one to run afoul of the law on.

    Watchout for deer

I have one hundred acres of very steep terrain (Ozarks) and have found three carcasses left laying by poachers. I now have my property posted and guarantee any poacher caught will spend some time in the Benton County jail. If someone shoots from the road into my yard they will be chained to the...

    Watchout for deer

I don't ride at night as a result of so many deer in the area. If I must drive at night I drive my F-150. My son keeps ragging on me to get a heavy duty grill guard with bull bar on the truck. I've had up to eighteen at a time counted in my yard. So far two have been hit out front here and...

    Watchout for deer

I often stop for deer in the road and keep a close eye out for them on the county road in front of my farm. I know where they generally cross and am especially dilligent in those areas. Having known two guys that have hit deer on motorcycles I do not want to ever do it. One of the riders died...

    Cherry Pop

My 2011 RTS SE-5 Limited died at a stop light when I was bringing it home the first time and hasn't done it since. I always just thought I had done something wrong with it being new and all.:dontknow: 3,800 miles later it is running like a champ.

    622 Trailer

I don't know if they will deal that much on one, but last time I was at Bradford Marine in Springdale, Arkansas they had a blue one on the show room floor. I believe they warehouse them in Little Rock at their HQ office.

    Corbin armrests

My wife is 5'4" and the Corbin seat, seat back and Corbin arm rests fit her perfectly. It even fits my wide buttocks just fine.:roflblack::2thumbs: Corbin stuff was pricey, but worth the expense IMO. Installing the arm rests gets a bit involved, though. We had the seat stitching done in a...

Absolutely agree. I'm also a former LEO and there are some folks out there I put in jail in the past, so a CCW is a handy thing to have.

    gas mileage

Wish we could have gotten together while we were down your way. We stayed at the J.W. Marriot Resort, so was probably pretty close to you. I haven't seen a Murphy Oil Station (Wal-Mart) that sold 100% gasoline. All stations I have found 100% gasoline have signs up stating that they sell 100%...

    They backed into my RT

Benefactor Life Member here, too. Fact of the matter is that the vast majority of CHL holders tend to be far more civil than most folks, because they are in-fact armed and have to keep their tempers in check. I never get on the Spyder without a CCW. Tell me about the wannabees. I have a...

    Gonna take a little trip

Buy a camel back for cool water to drink as you ride. You'll thank me later for the suggestion in this summer heat. Take plenty of breaks.

My first long ride. It's gonna be HOT. Tips?

My son gave us a pair of camel backs for Father's Day and what a fine gift. We fill them with ice and then cold water. The water stays cool for hours and when you stop for fuel refill them with ice and water. We've done some serious miles in the past few weeks in 100 degree weather without...
