• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Corbin armrests

We are thinking of buying Corbin armrest for our RT. However, the boss doesnt want to spend the money until she has checked one out (sat in it). Does anyone is So Cal have one we can come over and check out?

Thanks

I would highly recommend having your passenger try it out first. I have the Corbin seat and back rests on order and decided against the passenger armrests. We were lucky to run into someone a Spyderfest (TicketBait) that let Amy sit on his bike to try them out. The armrest were too high for her which made it rather uncomfortable. Also made it diffecult to access the passenger hand rails. It looks to be a rather involved install process so I would make sure your rider likes them first. Evidently they are designed for tall riders.

I have them on mine, my bike has been at the dealership since May 10th:( . If I get my spyder back in time you can come to Santa Monica and try it out.
I am also leaving in 11 days & going to the Eureka Spyder in the Redwoods gathering you are welcome to sit on it there too!

I also put my cup holder on the arm rest as well.

What Y Rider says is true. It is not for all riders. If you currently ride thinking that holding
onto the rails is going to keep u in your seat,(which it won't) then this may not be for you as you would
need to have extra long arms or have your arms grab from the elbows being situated at the
back of the rest. (if that makes sense)

Thanks TicketBait. I will get ahold of you when you get back. Our first grandson is due the week of the Redwood Ride so we wont be making that. Thanks again.

We had Corbin seat installed w/ armrest for the wife. She loves them and would give you the go ahead on that purchase. She is about 5'5 " if that helps. Corbin seat was best mod for us.

I can't say it any better or differently, save it to say that my wife is 5' 5 1/2. Weight [don't tell her I published this] 118 lbs.

My wife is 5'4" and the Corbin seat, seat back and Corbin arm rests fit her perfectly. It even fits my wide buttocks just fine.:roflblack::2thumbs: Corbin stuff was pricey, but worth the expense IMO. Installing the arm rests gets a bit involved, though.

We had the seat stitching done in a spyder web, but I later found out they will do just about anything you desire for your seats, etc. Our next one will be really tricked out. :ohyea:
