• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone with a 2024 or newer (large screen display) installed a Carpuride and Have sound?

Sounds like you already bought a headset, but there is a "dongle" that you can buy that fools the bike into thinking a headset is attached. It is talked about here: . Can Ams implementation is questionable at best, I had a 2019, and honestly the system is not much better than the old BRP...

Anyone with a 2024 or newer (large screen display) installed a Carpuride and Have sound?

There are bikes that have Android Auto (Goldwing, some Harleys) and AA is no different than using carplay in practice. Can Am selected not to implement AA, there is no technical reason whatsoever.

Anyone with a 2024 or newer (large screen display) installed a Carpuride and Have sound?

Has anyone been able to install a Carpuride or similar device onto a 2024 or newer Spyder with the new large display and been able to get sound through the bike system? I tried bluetooth pairing with the bike (both as a phone and headset), with no luck. I tried a USB bluetooth dongle as well...

Installing Rear view/backup camera - what wire & where to trigger it?

For anyone with a 2024 Spyder RT, this camera works like a charm, and can be mounted easily right below the license plate frame on the flat surface horizontal to the ground. Looks OEM. I tried two other brand cameras, and neither would provide signal. Installed by you, it will run under $50...

New Update Nov 30 '24 - anyone updated their '24 RT? What does it do?

Thanks, really helps. I am waiting for that camera to come tommorrow, I had one of another brand, but for some reason it would not display, just shows the blue box with gridlines. I am hoping that camera is bad, but if not I will close the bike up with the new camera mounted until I get...

New Update Nov 30 '24 - anyone updated their '24 RT? What does it do?

Did you use one of the wedge spacers that come with the camera, or is that with just the camera flat against the area below the tag? If you used a wedge, do you remember which one and was it to pitch the camera up or down for better coverage? Thanks.

Could this be Wireless CarPlay for the Canyon?

I've used similar devices (AAWireless) on two motorcycles (Harley, Goldwing) and it worked flawlessly. Have not tried on my Spyder as I am an Android user, and Can Am refuses to support Android Auto. Certainly worth a try IMO.

Apple CarPlay - the good, the bad, and the really ugly

Still works better than the Spyder implmentation of Android Auto! Can Am has never been know for their software, bet that is where the issue is.

Installing Rear view/backup camera - what wire & where to trigger it?

The camera is available from BRP at https://can-am-shop.brp.com/on-road/us/en/camera-backup-kit-can-am-219401199.html. It is $249, but if you have a 2024 Spyder you also need the rear fender from a 2025. Those run something like $230 on BRP parts sites. People have had luck with aftermarket...

Installing Rear view/backup camera - what wire & where to trigger it?

I have a Carpuride 702 on order, but to make up for the lack of phone mirroring on a 2024 motorcycle. I know the Can Am does plugged Carplay, but where is wireless AA? Hoping to get a camera that is integrated to the core bike though, in case BRP ever gets into the 2020s with their system...

Thanks @Ages, exactly what I needed. I was able to do a screen capture that shows it well. Appreciate the help.

Installing Rear view/backup camera - what wire & where to trigger it?

Thanks for the reply. I am considering using a flush mount aftermarket camera vice the Can Am camera that requires a new fender. A couple of people have verified aftermarket cameras work, and at a fraction of the cost. The issue becomes their mounting location. The flush mounts are about as big...

Installing Rear view/backup camera - what wire & where to trigger it?

Could someone who has a 2025 Spyder RT (Limited or S2S) post a picture of the rear fender showing where the backup camera hole is? It does not have to have the camera installed, just show where the blank is for the camera on the rear fender. It could be a 2024 that has had the rear fender...

Installing the Backup Camera on an F3 - Instructions identify Camera Supports needed for F3 & RT

Can you post what the part was called, and part number if it shows. Also about what it cost for the extra part. Thanks

2025 RT Ltd GPS/Navigation - will it work with Android phones, or must I have an iPhone & headset?

I am considering a '25 as well, I wonder if anyone has tried a MagicBox 2 (or now 3) to make an android work. The magic box hooks to the bike as a CarPlay device, but hooks to the phone as an android auto. Works well in cars, and I would think would work on an RT. Hoping someone has given it a shot.

Foot Brake vs Handlebar Brake - would it be better for me?

I had a handbrake on the last model RTL, and I LOVED it. The handbrake was not quite as strong as that on a normal motorcycle, but worked very well. Made it much easier for me to ride, I had the same hip situation as you describe. I found I could not move my leg quickly enough to be safe...

More on brake pedal 2020 RTL

A company names ISCI makes a handbrake kit for Spyder, and does have one now for new models. I put one on my 2018 and loved it. It activates the existing brake pedal using a handlebar mounted hydraulic system,,.....so works on both front and back brakes, James as the existing pedal. The pull...

RT Ltd seat gas strut - what pressure?

My understanding, the stock seat strut is about 20 lbs. Many upgrade to a 30 lb so that the seat stays open better, even with a little weight on it. Some have gone as high as 40 lbs I installed a gel pad in my comfort seat, and the stock strut would not hold it open. With a 30 lb strut, if I...

    helmet communication recommendations

Plus one on the Packtalk Bold. I've had several Senas, including an old 10, the one made for a Neotec original (forget model), a 20, and now a 30S. I ONLY have a 30S because I have a Harley, and their sound system only works with Harley branded Sena units. The newer Senas are pretty good, no...

For those that have trouble with Basecamp, might want to take a look at Harley Ride Planner. To me, it is a little easier to use, I've done several tutorials on Basecamp and if I dont use it for a few months I always struggle. The Harley Ride Planner creates GPX files, so easy to work on the...
