• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone with BUDS in Tampa area

Check with Kenny Butler. I believe he's on the south side of the Orlando area. He should be a member of this forum, as well as FB Spyder Lovers.

Another Dealer Drops the Spyder Line

When the Ryker came out, I know of a small-town dealer that was forced to take over 100 Rykers for that current model year. If they wanted to keep their franchise, they didn't have a choice. That stated, Harley has done the same thing with their smaller dealers. I wrenched on BRP products back...

Is it possible to do an Oil Change without a lift?

That's the way I've done them since 2008. I use a flat catch pan. Although getting it higher would be easier for the drain plug installation, the oil splashes too much (I could change the catch pan). I use my creeper to clean the drain area and install the drain plugs.

Looking for a male connector to fit this? Need to charge GPS!

If connected directly to the battery, and in the correct polarity, the XT2 should charge. I had a situation with an XT where the two pins in the saddle were not connecting to the back side of the unit. Check to ensure the small, spring loaded contact are projecting out of their location. With...

    What GPS are you using?

If you never leave a city or get out in the country, a cell phone is fine. I don't understand why people feel a need to deride others' choices when their reality does not match the question.

If only the Japanese made a reverse trike...

That's the aging must-have-H-D crowd. I thoroughly enjoyed my Harley's over a 16 year period, and especially the competent dealer network. But the way the rigid and narrow rear axle treated the rider and passenger, it was a very easy decision to move to the ride and precision of the Spyder.

    What GPS are you using?

Garmin Zumo XT I've used Garmin GPS units since before (2005) cell phones had mapping software and any universal coverage. The GPS is weather-proof, cell phones not so much. If you want to have your phone on your handlebars, in the elements, then you go for it. We often ride where cell service...

Has anybody heard any rumors on the 2025 Spyder Models? New line-up released!

We got tired of waiting. This is a '23 F3-L SS that was Mineral Blue.

Passenger foot pegs won’t stay vertical - any suggestions to keep them up?

The bolt tightness won't effect the friction to keep them upright. The screws go into a bushing from either end, and the bushing is rubber mounted. I ride solo exclusively, and leave them in place (don't remove them) and folded down/horizontal. I sometimes use them to mount the F3.

1330cc Could this burble be an Exhaust Gasket? Which part for a 1330 Motor?

We've not had the donut seal fail on any F3 model since the first 2015. I did notice that an aftermarket cat-delete pipe had its mating surface not formed correctly with the sharp edges of the flared-only end rubbing on the seal. (I cut that one off and welded on a properly formed end.)...

    Apple Car Play Compensation

There are many of us that bought into the BRP Connect fiasco in 2018. We were offered nothing but silence from BRP. The dealer network couldn't fix anything as they were apparently in the dark also. If there was (real) competition in a reverse trike configuration, BRP would need to actually hire...

Any ideas on F3T rear bag/pannier removal?

I can't speak for the 2024 models, but I have worked on our 2018 F3-T and 2023 F3-L Spyders. I can't see where the side boxes are "easily removed" as many of the fender components tie into the assembly. The top box is readily removed but not the sides.

    Anybody add a bumper guard?

Gotta love the "pink fit" descriptor! I've not had a "bumper" but have had a "bump-skid" on one F3 Spyders. At a rural railway crossing, the lip of the bump-skid got hooked on some part of the crossing: it was ripped off the Spyder. The crossing was rough and I was not going over 10 mph while...

Having trouble removing the rear seat - anyone else? Any fixes?

Without photos, it's not possible to state the interference exists with the aftermarket backrest. Further, the condition of the machine from sitting outside, riding in the rain and/or severe road dust, would likely impact function. So, troubleshooting mode: 1. Did the issue of removing the seat...

Where is the Schraeder valve? 2020 F3 Ltd

Although F3 and RT models share some parts, they are not the same. We have owned F3-S, F3-T and F3-L models. The F3-S models (both were 2015 vintage) didn't have an air bag booster in the suspension as there was opportunity to easily access the coil over shock, although the standard shock was...

Are there any Longer Handgrips/Handlebar extns available for Spyders?

I wear XL gloves: my hands are larger than many. I usually don't wrap by full hand around the handgrip, unless riding one handed while adjusting something with the cruise control engaged. Hanging on too tightly will fatigue the hand and arm. You may benefit from a larger diameter grip (I always...

Apple Car Play download initially failed! NOW Finally available....

We bought a 2018 with BRP Connect, that never worked as-promised and was never supported by any dealer. CA might be the only state with lemon laws loose enough to send the machine back for an audio malfunction. Over the years, owners have stated that Apple Car Play would be sooooo much better...

2023 F3-Limited Side Panels no longer Align - what's the trick, or what am I missing?

Check that the panel is nested into the notch/catch features on the Fuel Tank cover (long one down the center of the Spyder, in front of the seat). I just reassembled a '23 F3-L after full body paint and had similar issues. Fiddled with the fit, checked the "nesting", getting it as good as I...

Safety Message no longer forces delay after First Service - any opinions?

On our 2015 - 2023 F3 models, turn the key on, tap the Mode button, hit the starter button. Engine will start while the message is playing on the screen on the 2018 and 2023 models. It is a more quiet shift experience to release the parking brake before shifting into gear. For those that don't...

How Much Do You Use Wide Open Throttle?

I am the anthesis of a conservative riding style. That stated, it doesn't take WOT to drift around a corner or accelerate from a stop. I typically roll on the throttle as much as the rear tire can handle. Optimum shift point for acceleration is not redline on the tack, but around the peak torque...
