• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Go Pro Camera Mount

The 3M adhesive sticks well! I have had some luck in the past using a heat gun and a plastic putty knife. If you look close you can still see where it was though. I attached my GoPro to my helmet.

Your thoughts on using the hitch as a tie down??

I would not trust the hitch on a Spyder for a tie point. Best is to strap around the wheels, like the car haulers.

Any thoughts on battery replacement? Change now or at failure?

Buy an unfilled battery. Don’t fill or charge it till you need it. Buy a jump pack and keep it in the Spyder. When it gets to the point where you have to use the jump pack to start the Spyder a few times, fill and charge your new battery and replace.

    Tire Pressure Science

Yes. Start there (18 on rear). Drive for 30 min or more to get tires warmed up. If you see 4 psi increase warm over cold you’re golden. Less than 4psi increase you are over-inflated, and vice-versa.

Ferry Crossings - do Spyders need to strap down?

We crossed to Washington Island in Door County last month. Didn’t have to tie down the F3-t. We were packed pretty tight, and the water was lumpy. The Jeep Cherokee in front of me was moving about 6” front to back with the waves. It was obvious he just put it in park without using the parking...

Old ears are getting tired and . . .

I’ve not heard of a way to send the Spyder audio to Bluetooth. I don’t think there is an aux out or headset out connection on the radio either. It’s all about sending other audio sources TO the radio. My ears are shot from farming, so I used to use wired earbuds to my iPhone. I have the XM app...
