• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Highway Pegs

I have seen the kewl metal brackets and I could just put my toes on them for relief as they are just at the right height for me without anything added but I would need a peg or something flat right were the brackets attach, straight down in front of the foot pegs. That is were I let my legs...

    Car Tires and BEST warranty

Tire Pressure I will use a stock tire and plan on running 24 psi in it. I can't get my head around a car tire to save a few bucks and my dealer wont put one on I believe that running 28/30 is the cause of the rear wearing in the center. I ran it all day with 24 psi and when I stopped and...

Installation of Garmin Zumo 660 GPS for Spyder RTS

Garmin I can't justify that much money for a GPS on my RT but a friend has a Harley with a Nuvi 255w on and it has been through rain and shine for two years now. I said it was not water proof but he smiled and said "it works" so it has me wondering. $99.00 is a cheap try out and would mount it...

    Highway Pegs

I would love to see those kewl metal brackets just clear the underside to add pegs down low to keep my feet just behind the lower flare. The pegs I see in these post are to far out for my legs and out in the weather so to speak. My thoughts.

    SUPER SQEAKY BRAKES

Short term fix My dealer did this fix but it did not last long, Brake Quiet as it is called didn't last. My brakes are so noisy!! I am going to replace them at my cost of course!!

    Negative review on the Spyder

Wow, what a negative article!! I to have owned and ridden a Spyder since 08 and do love it. I must admit though at first, I did not like the test drives I had. I was committed to owning one and never gave up. BRP had suspensions set to softest for test drives as they went around the country. The...

    Iridium spark plugs

I have read that the new Spyder uses a hotter heat range plug over the 08/10 models. Can they be used in older models ? I am talking about Iridiums that is.

    RT IMPROVEMENTS FOR 2011 & 2012

V4 Engine BRP has all my money and won't get anymore until they replace the engine. Fine for most from what I read but NOT me. A multi cylinder with larger displacement is a must for a tourer with this bulk to push through the air. Just my thoughts.

    RT IMPROVEMENTS FOR 2011 & 2012

Improvements All these improvements it makes me feel like I own an old Spyder not just my 2010 model. I will put Iridiums plugs in at my 12,000 mile service. I would guess that my dealer should stock them if they are now standard on the 2012 models?

    Getting harder to start!

My tech guy told me the 2010's throttle closes up after shut down that is why it is hard to start. He said just crack the throttle and it will start easier. Well, it still takes two tries. It has something to do with emissions, no gas vapors getting into the atmosphere I guess??

2010 RT Windshield - too tall

No problem with chipping even with a coarse blade. I found that 3 inches off the top and an inch off both sides work great for me I only wear a half helmet and don't find buffeting and when up all the way stay dry in the rain.

2010 RT Windshield - too tall

Yes I did it twice. First time I took 2 inches off with a 1 inch taper on both sides. Second time I took another 1 inch to suit my height. I like looking over the shield. Just tape it up and draw the line with a pencil. A jigsaw worked for me then a good sander with 80 grit paper first then 120...

    SM5 & ISCI Floorboards

Just PERFECT !! A picture tells a thousand words. It looks as if you have exactly what I want! With the floorboards angled down I will be able to slide my foot forward enough to get comfy and not be spread to far out or away from the brake pedal or shifter. Nice setup. I might attach...

    SM5 & ISCI Floorboards

Thanks. It looks like the brackets would work but I would need to see them on an RT to make sure. I think one can slide his foot forward leaving his heel on the floorboard and toe on the bracket? Right? Just another position for the legs to stretch? A side profile picture with the floorboard...

My new Muffler for my RT

Yes a good looking muffler and I agree with a chrome cover/ heat shield !! I think it looks better then the OEM muffler!

    New Spyder Rider Physical Problem

Foot peg position This keel metal brackets come to far out for me. If keel metal made ones that were shorter then the peg could be inboard so to speak. My feet could be just forward and down behind the lower deflector. I hate spreading my legs that far out, a joint issue I guess. I think...

    New Spyder Rider Physical Problem

Me to !! I have looked at them all and have made my decision, ISCI floorboards because they can be lowered 1 1/2 inches lower then stock pegs plus it allows movement of your feet forward and backward for comfort.

    SM5 & ISCI Floorboards

Added feature? Just noticed in the pictures that there is a black piece of metal coming out from the underside. That looks as if one can slide ones foot just far enough forward the rest ones toes on but keeping your heel on the floorboards. Am I right? And can I get those as well ?? That will...

    SM5 & ISCI Floorboards

Sold! I like what is see!! An inch and a half lower then stock pegs should make a world of difference !! Someone mentions tilting the floorboards down in the front, a good idea as I seem to tilt my feet down on the oem pegs so I think I'll try that first. It also looks like I can slide my...
