• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SUPER SQEAKY BRAKES

I have a 2010 RT with 1100 miles on it . When I put on the brakes it SQEAKS like HELL . I talked to dealer they say CANAM will not fix the problem. Is that right ?? If it is that sure is a crappy way to do somebody that has paid 20 plus thousand for your product. This is not very good advertisement when you ride with some other bikes and you stop and it sounds like metal on metal rubbing . I wonder how long these guys are going to be in business. I know car dealers will fix problems like this.

Squeaky brakes

I feel your pain. My 09 RS did the same. I recently installed Generation III pads ($169) and the bike is finally quiet.

For me, it was well worth it.

I had the same problem. Dealer told me when washing spyder to spray some BRP"spyder wash" on the brake parts ie callipers and brake pads and then use hard water spray to clean the wash out . Since doing this the brakes do not sqeel anymore. Its no big deal for me as I use spyder wash from BRP , this stuff works great to get grime off of :ani29:

My dealer did this fix but it did not last long, Brake Quiet as it is called didn't last. My brakes are so noisy!! I am going to replace them at my cost of course!!

Are you sure they put on 3rd generation pads? I've put on close to 3000 miles since mine were changed with no squealing. Prior to the new pads the squealing was terrible.

My RT squealed like a pig but unfortunately it wasn't one of the models listed for replacement. I too replaced mine at my own cost and I've gone about 9,000 miles on the new pads and the only squeak I get is the first few times I hit the brakes when they are cold. Just be sure that you are buying the 3rd generation pads mmy dealer still had 2nd generation pads and I almost put those on.
