• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Tires For RTs only

Actually, the 185/60 is taller and wider than stock. The stock tire sidewall is 107.25mm and the 185/60 is 111mm. So, the difference in height from the center out is 3.75mm (only 0.15 inches). Russ

    Tires For RTs only

Thanks.... I think I'll be going to General Altimax 185/60 for the front when it's time to change. We have those tires on my wife's Infiniti G35 and like em a lot. Even considering putting one on the back of my Vulcan. Russ

Can you tell me where I could find the post with the pinout for the gps plug? Are you talking about the round plug with four female connections inside that is hidden under the front speaker grille?

    Anybody know what size

The fronts are 5.25" and the rears are 4". Polk Audio makes marine speakers (DB521 front and DB401 rear). I just changed the rear speakers along with the Corbin armrests. Not too bad of a job. Russ

    Corbin Armrests

Thanks, Chris... it does help to know that I am armed with all the information available out there as far as installation. I'm not getting a warm & fuzzy feeling about these so far. Hopefully, your washer idea will help to make these a little more secure. I sent Sergio an email asking him...

    Corbin Armrests

You can find them on the Corbin website, go to the Spyder RT page, and the installation pdf is in the "notes" tab. Russ

    Corbin Armrests

Chris, Corbin's website has an installation pdf. It's found under the "notes" tab in the Spyder RT page. Are the instructions you have any different? Russ

    Corbin Armrests

Mike, I would go back and have them make sure they put everything back together right. I wouldn't accept something that moves that much. I'm going to attempt to install these myself. If they have that much play, they will go back to Corbin. Russ

    Corbin Armrests

Where does the "play" come from when installing these? Is it in the armrest itself or is it because it gets bolted to a non-solid surface (such as plastic vs. metal)? Russ

    Corbin Armrests

That's good information to know, Chris. I've ordered the armrests from Corbin, and when I put them on, I check for play to see if they need reinforcing before I button it all up. Corbin told me about 3 weeks to ship them... is that normal? Sounds like they don't stock them. I'm also going to...

    Where's this go?

We just bought a 4 month old RTS from a nice gentleman in MI. I was looking through the package of stuff that included the extra barrel lock for a trailer, and I found a nice decal made of a thick glossy rubber-like material. It has the Premier Edition number of our bike stamped on it and says...

    Passenger armrest options

Chris, Thanks for the advice. I think we'll go ahead and get the Corbins. I already have the seat, so it would be a nice match. Wow... PE#4... that's cool. We have #277. Lol... I use that phrase myself, so I guess that puts me right there with ya in age. Russ

    Passenger armrest options

Hi all, newbie here. My wife and I just bought a new-to-us RTS. We live in norther Ill. and am looking for fellow Spyder ryders. Anyway, are there any other options for passenger armrests other than Corbin? I notice the arms on theirs come out at about a 45 degree angle. I'd prefer...

    I-Pod Connection

I'll give that a try. I was only in radio mode... didn't use the set button. From reading the manual, it looked like it would come up automatically once you hooked up them up and had music playing. But then again, I've already noticed the manual is pretty vague. Thanks for the help. Russ

    I-Pod Connection

Auxiliary audio cables I've been playing with the ipod and audio cables that plug into the DIN connector in the trunk. Can't seem to get either to come up on the display. Am I missing something simple? Russ
