• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

need best dealer to by new RT-S

I agree with Spyder Couple. While SK NW doesn't like to dicker or negotiate, they are fair. They gave me a heck of a trade-in for my Ultra Classic when I bought my RT-S a year ago last Thursday and I walked/rode away a happy camper. ;)

    Suggestions on specific Rain Gear

I totally agree about the quality of Frogg Toggs! :2thumbs: Living in the Great NorthWest, we get our fair share of rain and Frogg Toggs are up to the task. Try 'em, you'll like 'em! I have the "Hogg Toggs" version - every durable. I've had them for over two years and they're holding up...

Just wanted to make sure that the word gets out that Monday, August 1st, is Kathy's birthday!!! We'll, or course, be celebrating it in Eureka with TONS OF OTHER SPYDER RYDERS!!! While she doesn't want her age advertized, she did tell me that this is the second time she's celebrating her...

    Never Wash Your Spyder!!!

Clarification - wash your Spyders - - just be careful!!! I'm sorry if I've caused some confusion, but when I washed my RT this morning, it was not at a carwash using a high pressure hose (I would never do something that idiotic)....it was in my driveway using an ordinary garden hose with a...

    Never Wash Your Spyder!!!

I washed my 2010 RT-S this morning and when I finished and started it up, it wouldn't throttle up....it just sat there idling at around 1,700 rpm and when I twisted the throttle to full bore, the rpm's went up to about 2,200!!! So using my BEST coverage I had it "towed" in to SK Northwest, my...

    Trouble when Hot

Thanks, Scotty! If the problem raises its ugly head again I'll have them tear into my Spyder and not let go until the problem is solved, but, hopefully, this is the issue and this will be the end of it!! Gotta have it 100% for the ryde to the Redwoods in 17 days, 12 hours and 27 minutes...

    Sunday July 17th ride

Kathy and I have other commitments but we will show up around 9:30 to socialize. Besides, my Spyder is up at Pro Caliber and won't be getting it back until Wednesday or Thursday this coming week. Faulty O2 sensors! :gaah: But it'll all be covered by the BEST coverage. :2thumbs: No harm, no...

    Trouble when Hot

Just talked with the service people at Pro Caliber and following consultations with BRP it seems like I have defective O2 sensors. They're bringing in two new sensors and I should have my :spyder2: back later next week. Now, I have a question. Was there anything I could have done to prevent...

Hey there, Spyder Cat! Greetings from up north! A few of us from the Portland area are planning on spending the night in Grants Pass on Sunday night, the 31st. Would you be available for dinner somewhere? I know you plan on heading down to Eureka on the 2nd, but could you spare some time...

Thanks for the welcome, bro! While the spark plug theory is quite valid, and one that I thought of a while back, when I had my oil changed about two weeks ago I also had them change out the plugs....so goes that theory! :dontknow: It's now in the shop with the front end disassembled and...
