• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What do YOU want to tell BRP at the Owner's Event?

I agree with JT. Ride what you sell. Ride it till it breaks. Take it back to the lab, tear it apart, RE-ENGINEER! REBUILD..Ride it until it breaks again. The problems mentioned can be easily fixed. We shouldn't have to buy after market this or that to fix whatever is wrong. The Spyder is a...

Home after Spyderfest 2013...13624 miles from home back to home

:agree: Enjoy every mile. All other things will work out. Life is tooooo short to sweat the details. 28 years as a funeral director teaches many lessons. And it is great to read of someone enjoying life and living the dream.. Go For It! May God Bless You on your Journey..

What do YOU want to tell BRP at the Owner's Event?

As stated, Thank You BRP for such a vehicle that brings me such enjoyment. We all know and realize that Rome wasn't built in a day. However, I believe that there are some easy things to fix and I hope one of them is the Belt vibration. I want to some day get a new one that doesn't have that...

    Men...this is REALLY off topic.

Whatever you do, DON'T PAY for one of those $300.00+ Razors... The affordable models ($50-$80) are just as good if not the same thing as their High dollar counterparts...Main Thing is to keep it cleaned out.

Got a LIMP MODE but no code tonight

Ditto Here! I also have one long, long sweeping curve I ride that is very gradual. 55 mph speed zone and can ride this particular curve up to 63 or so (speeding I know).. Mine will throw a code every time I go much faster than that and I have ridden much more severe curves without codes..Go...

Time to vent and ask a question...or two....

To Add A Thought.. I bought mine after reading a lot of negatives on this site and others. When a company, let's say, Company Named "PRB" builds a product and sells to the public. Computer faults and codes as well as common fixes and flaws are sent back to "PRB" over the years for analysis by...

    CRUISE CONTROL W/TRAILER

Dave Said it Best! Too many lawyers. Not a crack nor crevasse anywhere, or in this case, cruise control, is exempt .. How many people rode to and from the Fest, pulling a trailer and did not, at some point, use the cruise.. GUILTY HERE!!

    problem with odometer!

MY ODOMETER ZONED OUT !!! I left work last night for home...22 miles.. Odometer read "9988". I'm thinking, Wow 10K when I get home..I'll pay attention to odometer just a little bit...At "9992" (Trip at 104.6) I looked down. A little later looked down, trip at 105.8, odometer at "9992". Ended...

    Quality Survey Part II

Thing is, Many of the Problems, that rear their ugly head, do so after some time of ownership. That tells me that the factory has kinks to work out. I bought mine knowing that the Spyder had some inherit issues, such as and overly-sensitive Nanny, Drive belt vibration, etc. I feel it is a...

Not all DPS limp mode codes are equal

I have the same DPS on a long curve, the same curve, at 62-63 mph. Very Gradual curve. Happened before the Elka's and after only once.. Dealer Downloaded and sent codes to BRP but was told that nothing was out of ordinary because of A Very Sensitive Nanny..

I'm about to order a new seat and am leaning towards the Ultimate...

I chose the Ultimate because it wasn't leather but Marine Grade Vinyl. The only thing Ultimate warns against is water getting in the seams (stitching). Had mine put on at SF and rode home 6 hours in the rain. Had the cover on the seat part and backrest but not the passenger backrest. They said...

    Sway bar and Elkas

Good Question! Don't have a clue but wondering myself. The Elka Tech at Pit Bull saw my Ron Bar and measured the spring length (pre-load) till it was close to 9" and locked the red nut down. I will say that the front of my RT looks like I could straddle a cow. It increased the front end ground...

Brought a pizza home - on the Spyder!

Never Tried a Pizza. I do regularly use the trailer when my wife and I go to the grocery, Wal-Mart and so forth..Handier than a pocket on a shirt..I've hauled a lot of business relative items (that cant be mentioned). But no Pizza! Have to try it! Guess that's thinking outside the box about how...

    Air Hawk Seat Cushions

I had an Air Hawk R till I arrived at Spyderfest. Had my Ultimate seat put on and rode home (600 miles) without the air hawk. The best thing I can say is The Air Hawk is great!! My new seat is great!! I don't think I'll get rid of the Air Hawk, but I don't think I will need it any time...
