• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How many miles do you have on your RT?

Owned since June. 2665 miles so far. Put away now for the long snowy Minnesota winter with heavily salted roads and idiots that can't drive 4 wheels safely.

    Scuff pads for Spyder RT

Got an email from Big Bike Parts offering a set of (4) carbon fiber scuff pads for the Spyder RT. $59.95 I have nicked the right side of the bags with my own heavy boot getting off and on. Seems a little pricey but what isn't for this machine?

    New - RT dash pouch

3M tape holds the hook and loop to the dash. 3M tape bought at Wal Mart holds my pouch on the dash just fine. Still stable at 75mph for a long long ride.

    "Welcome package" and panel certificate.

Got m package and certificate Got my welcome package a few weeks ago and the certificate for new oil change gizmo. Included in the package were some little sort of brochures that they want you to pass out to people who want to ask you about your new ride. BRP does not pay me to shill for them...

Considering a Spyder RT---a couple of questions

I sorta noticed the same problem. I bought an Airhawk seat cushion that has a cut-out in the front for the ---- and another cut-out in the rear for the tailbone. Best $170 I ever spent for riding comfort.

Why did you buy Your spyder?

Something New Something new for me and a bit more safer than 2 wheels or a sidecar outfit. I've been riding for about 52 years so I've pretty much done it all by now. I also decided that some surplus money sitting in a low interest account at the bank would be better used for something for ME.

    Anyone had this problem?

Mine was shut off also after dealer installed 2013 changes to computer. I've been having so much fun with my new ride that I didn't notice the volume not increasing with speed. Easy to change using the mode switch and menus.

    Drips

I've noticed a "donut" drip on my driveway twice in the last two months. About the size of a quarter with an interior wet spot the size of a pencil eraser. This was before my first service at the dealers. Nothing since that service. I was gonna mention it when I came in for the first service...

    Spyders in Canada

I spent the last 5 days in Thunder Bay CA. While there I saw 7 Spyders, mostly RS. This is more than I have spotted in the Minneapolis area since I bought my RT in June. Also visited the Spyder dealer while in Thunder Bay. The young lady inside told me she sold 5 Spyders in the last month...

You got a deal I'm a new owner of a 2012 RT and my first service was $444.51 here in Minnesota. Dealer also had the rig for 2 days even though they first said about 3 hours and it would be ready for pickup. There are 5 dealers here in metro Minneapolis so I will be trying another dealer at...
