• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I thought having girls, my spyder was safe.

Girls My 15 and 12 yr olds love the spyder. They want to ride as much as mom. They all compete for seat time. Sadly, I took my last ride on Sunday with my oldest(had shoulder surgery on Monday). Can't wait to get healed so everyone can get some more seat time. Until then, I'm just gonna...

    Here's a look at the 2014 Can-Am Spyder lineup

Was at the dealer today, from what we talked about, there's some engine news coming(like 1400cc)! 3 wheels need 3 cylinders, just saying....

    only one???

Hey Laila's dad...I can remember a time when you were terrified of the highway. Great to hear you are comfortable. Sounds like a great trip. Very rarely do I see any on the road. Did 100 miles today from Wylie to Arlington on 161, nothing! Had to exchange Rangers tickets. Funny thing, as I...

Skills Test on Can Am Spyder

Skills test My wife took the test on our spyder and the instructors tailored the test parameters to the spyder. Sometimes they would kick the cones out just a bit further to accommodate the track of the spyder. On the figure 8 "box" work, they allowed leeway due to the turning radius. The...

    Where did it go??

There's no a lot of WILL so I'm guessing there ain't NO WAY I'm tearing apart half the spyder to find .99 tweezers. I'm just hoping they settle into the abyss that is the bowels of the spyder.

    Where did it go??

So my girls were playing in the garage when the older one comes in and says...can you come here. Knowing the spyder is parked there I get nervous as the tone in my daughters voice also had some nervousness...and we walk to the spyder. Turns out they put a pair of tweezers on the backrest and...

Does anybody have an RT (not RT-S or Limited)?

RT A&C We went with the A&C SE5 2011 leftover last year in '12 much like akspyderman did. The close to 5k savings as a leftover and the fact that no changes were made between model years made the decision easy. Haven't added a single "farkle"...YET! Really want some floorboards.

    Too nice not to enjoy!

Spyder Fest Trying to talk the wife into it. However, its in the middle of storm season and considering she works in the property dept. of a major insurance company, don't know if she can take time off. If tornadoes and hail stay away from Tx we might be a late addition. We're at the mercy of...

    Lamonster 2013 handling disclaimer

Lamont...keep doing what you do. Without your vast knowledge and experience we'd all in some way be totally in the dark with these machines we have come to love. In my book, you get a HUGE !!

    Too nice not to enjoy!

Greenville Ave Funny you mention that, my original "planned" route had us running right down Greenville ave. but I changed my mind last minute and ran in using Plano rd. Then the wife was able to look at all the $$ houses on the Lake Highands Peninsula. Great day!

    Too nice not to enjoy!

So we were awoken by a severe thunderstorm around the 3 o'clock hour this morning...no problem, we knew that better weather was on its way. Roll outta bed around 8 ready to go. Run some errands and hurry back to get the spyder out for a run. Wife says "I want to run downtown" so then it was...

    Battery connections

Battery access Lamont has a video out there about access...sadly I'm on a mobile site and can't link right now. You don't have to remove tupperware, just 2 screws under the seat by the battery cut out. Unplug the passenger heat controls and that cut out panel lifts off. Updated...moved over...

What mods have you customed designed or re engineered for your spyder?

"custom" ipod holder Don't want to take all the credit on this one... my idea came from someone else on the forum. I refused to pay some 50 bucks for the BRP ipod holder, so I fabbed my own. I used an old web strap cut to length, removed to 2 screws on the right side of the inner frunk...

Spyder RT - New Analog Fuel Gauge

Bouncy bouncy At first, gauge read steady, felt like I was a lucky one after reading everything here about the inaccuracies of the analogue gauge. Well....recently the gauge has begun to do a dramatic dance, it will bounce from full to 1/2 upon every corner I take. I had enough and doubt...

little lessons learned along the way...

Almost in the 80's this weekend Just wait till this weekend, forcast calls for temps approaching the 80's, great riding weather. Might have to contend with some wind, but it will be 2 good days of riding. You know where we'll be!

    November and riding!

79 degrees and loving it over here! The wife and I needed to run to the grocery store for some odds and ends for dinner and took the spyder. 75 miles later, we returned home with the groceries. Forgot to mention...store is only 3 miles from the house!
