• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Butt sir!

I was 360lbs when I first got my Spyder last July and the weight was really not an issue. I turned the shocks up all the way and it handled great. I even has a 180lb passenger on once for a short trip which was well over the weight limit and it was still manageable. A year later I'm now down to...

    VSS Fault/ Check DPS

Was turning a corner (one street to another) and hit a rough patch in the road. After hitting the rough patch I noticed that the stability control light was still illuminated on the dash and I now was in limp home mode as well as showing VSS fault message. I pulled off and shut the spyder off...

SEAT: Corbin, Russell or Comfort Seat?

Thanks, from 360 to 280, still have 120 to go to hit my "ideal" weight range. At 5'8" I was/am quite overweight.

SEAT: Corbin, Russell or Comfort Seat?

I have the comfort seat on mine and I'm pretty happy with it now. When I first got it last July I was 80 lbs heavier than I am now and I find that the more weight I lose the better the seat feels. I went on a 7hr ride last weekend and I only had minimal discomfort at the end of the day, last...

    Front tire choices

I'm running the Dunlop Direzza in 185/60-14 on the front of my Spyder. I have the Yoko in stock size on the rear. Very happy with the way these tires handle and look. I only had to bend the left fender back about 3/4" because the support was rubbing the inside of the wider tire.

    Oil Change

Just did mine today. I've been running Amsoil 10w-40 since 3000 miles. I have almost 11,000 now. No problems. When I took the drain out today there weren't any shavings on the magnet at all.

I hope those guys in Canada appreciate what it's costing me to go to their event.

I work with a lady who immigrated from Quebec and she's good people so I think it's totally worth it.

    Model RT

Yeh, figured that out, deleted my other post. I've only seen the Tri and Stop Me which is what you're probably talking about as the RS Model.

Two weeks for every appointment at Honda of Tulsa

I usually get right in at my dealer, within a couple days and parts are almost always delivered next day or two day. It's a small shop and we are close to Quebec so that might have something to do with it.

Right Side Exhaust Gasket (pre-maturely worn) - Warranty?

Both of mine were replaced under warranty with 9000miles on the clock. No questions asked.

    185/60 14 on Front

Nothing major. On the left side the front most fender support was just rubbing on the inside of the tire. I took the fender off and just bent the brace in about 3/4 of an inch. You may be able to bend it without taking the fender off but I couldn't seem to get the leverage I needed. The right...

How much should it cost to hook up to BUD

It cost me $11 to have them connect up and reset the torque and steering angle sensor. This will vary dealer to dealer.

    Rear Fender Support Brackets

Both of mine just cracked this weekend. ~9250 miles. Dealer is shipping a couple up to me to replace them so I don't have to drive all the way down there for such a quick fix.

    Northern Vermont Meet & Ride

I've stayed at the Hampton Inn in Colchester before and it was nice. They had milk and cookies set out in the evening. :2thumbs:

Change OE front tire to 195/50-14

I put 185/60/14s on mine and they BARELY fit under the fender. As it was I had to bend one of the fender supports back a bit to clear the left tire. Very worth while, though. Handling is noticeably improved.

    Northern Vermont Meet & Ride

Sounds like fun, I'll see what I can do. I just got back from a Spyder ride to Colebrook, NH a few minutes ago just a stones throw from VT. Probably only about 6hrs from here to Burlington.

    185/60 14 on Front

Thanks guys. The shop put 35 in and it was way way too stiff, front was bouncing all over, brought it down to 27 and it is much better. I'll keep playing with it until I find a happy spot.

    185/60 14 on Front

Any advice on air pressure for car tires in this size? Put mine on last night and they look great, I have to adjust the fenders some because of some minor rubbing but otherwise they'll be fine.
