• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I just installed Helibars with Lamonster 2" riser plate

I initially had installed Helibar's on my 2022 RT S2S. After I had a seat redone by Russell Day Long, my ride height increased by approx 1". I found my bars to be too low for my 6'3" height. I then dug out my previously used Lamonster 2" riser plate to try. Obviously, my cable length was too short. This was even after I'd previously removed the upper metal cable clip (accessed by removing plastic ignition cover plate) and clipping a cable zip tie when I had my right side panels removed for wiring my Zumo XT2.

I then saw a video posted by Pierre (Can Am Accessories) of him installing his 7" Longhorn handlebars (pretty cool BTW). In this video, he showed how to access extra cable length by removing the right side lower speaker cover and pulling loose some extra cable and clipping another zip tie. After doing this, I gained at least another 2" of cable slack. Sooo, back to my parts box for the Lamonster 2" riser.

Success!!! 2" riser plate + Helibars = approx. 8" of handlebar height! I was able to fit my Garmin Zumo XT2 GPS/Touratech locking mount forward of the bars using a RAM 3" socket arm. I have the bars as forward as they go. I also elongated the pin hole a touch to get a bit extra forward movement, as I was looking for extra height, not for the bars to be closer. Works well :)

Interesting, troop. Clever solution.
The Helibars were a little too close and low for me even at their max height setting (after Daylong install). I had to elongate the nub/slot which moved them taller and a little farther away. I could only get away with that due to Gorilla length arms.
I couldn’t do that with other bars as they didn’t allow you to rotate the controls far enough without significant mods. The Helibars DO allow for that👍
