• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Garage Door opener Spyder f3-S

I just use double back velcro tape to attach my opener to the inside back of the glove compartment. Simple to pull out to change battery. Have to stretch just a little to reach it, but much simpler than wiring something.

    Frunk and Seat Latches

The Rube Goldberg opening method by cable attached to the ignition key do not fill me with confidence. Are there after market products to replace the latching method that would be more normal. The frunk should probably have a lock, but that is not a real necessity. The back seat opening...

A little info please - can the showchrome armrests be locked?

I looked at them, but did not like the possibility that could work loose and flop around. I got the BRP armrests and my co-rider likes them a lot. Expensive, but rock solid.

    Seat Belts

Au Contraire! The word motorcycle originated in the 1890's and was short for motorized bicycle ( https://www.etymonline.com/search?q=motorcycle ). I know, my registration says motorcycle. I guess they did not want to start a new classification. This is good, because it means we can ride in the...

    Seat Belts

I have to say, frankly, I am disappointed by the responses in this thread. Most of the responses are about seatbelts on a motorcycle. I did not ask about seatbelts on a motorcycle!! I have ridden two wheels for more than five decades and would not consider it. But a Spyder is not a motorcycle...

    Seat Belts

Has anyone installed them? My co-rider thinks she would feel safer with one.

Parking Brake ....is That a dealer fix item?

Recently got a 2019 F3L and this thread has me concerned. Is there a link, perhaps with photos, as to what to do with those two 12mm wrenches? Thanks.

Which Brake Position Rod to lower the brake pedal?

There are 5 holes through which the front brake rod bolt can go. By feeling for them you can figure out which is being used. That is the number you need. It is probably 3 as you surmise. It was on mine.

    How many owners.......

Just got mine. Have a placard for the car, but that's not feasible for the Spyder. Age and arthritis limit severely limit my walking distance.

    Slippery Armrests

Put the BRP armrests on the 2019 F3L. GF says the are very slippery, and I have to agree. The hard plastic provides almost no friction. There are a number of non-slip sprays available, but not sure which one (if any) would work on this. Any suggestions based on experience would be appreciated.

    Removing Passenger Handholds

I am trying to install the passenger armrests from BRP on my 2019 F3L. The instructions call for the removal the passenger handholds. Well, there is a wire for the heating element and switch. The manual instructions for handhold removal do not mention this wire. It does not seem to have an easy...
