Removing Passenger Handholds

I am trying to install the passenger armrests from BRP on my 2019 F3L. The instructions call for the removal the passenger handholds. Well, there is a wire for the heating element and switch. The manual instructions for handhold removal do not mention this wire. It does not seem to have an easy disconnect method. I could just cut it, but that doesn't seem right. What do I do with it?

Wire goes under the seat? Look under the seat for a plug in.

I removed mine and there is a plug under the passenger seat on both sides that you need to unplug
