• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

We've been back for awhile, but just getting around to posting about the trip. We started out leaving from Iowa on July 1st and road to San Francisco. Then up the West Coast and over to Seattle for a Mariners game (number 17 for MLB ballparks). From there we rode to Yellowstone National Park...

Thanks, I appreciate the help! Headed West. Picking my wife up in San Francisco then heading up the coast to Washington. Going to take in a Mariners game #17 of 32 Major League Baseball parks. Then headed to Yellowstone Park for 6 days. Estes Park after that and then back toward home. Gotta be...

    Ipod Nano to 2014 RT-L?

What do I need to hook up an Ipod Nano to the 2014? I bought the Ipod recently and had not tried to plug it in until on the road. Do I need an adapter and if so do most dealers carry them? I overnighted in Sydney, Nebraska and will be headed across Wyoming and Utah where good radio reception...

    pulling trailer

On our trip to Florida we got as low as 26 mpg (70 - 75 against the wind) and as high as 48 mpg (traveling the Keys 45-55 mph). For most of our miles at Interstate speed we got 36 mpg. We now have about 6,000 miles and will be headed West in a couple weeks to add about 5,000 more. The mileage...

    RT in crosswind

Make sure you aren't gripping the handle bars too tightly. It is easy to over steer when the wind is hitting you and the Spyder from the side. Especially when it is gusting. I've found that I can avoid over reacting by pushing my palms against the grips and not fully closing my fingers and...

Sh*t...I can't stop thing about it.

Honey, I've come up with the greatest Mother's Day gift! Something we both will enjoy! In fact, we could consider it a Father's Day gift also. Looks at the money we will save buying one gift that will keep on giving!

    Headed for Spyderfest!

We head out at 7:00 am and it's only going to be 41 degrees. Possibly raining:yikes: I must be stupid. My wife on her Spyder, our two friends on their Harleys and me on my Indian. I can't believe that the weather turned on us like this. We plan to stop a lot in order to warm up...

    600 mile service

We've got a 2014 RT-L and when the dealer delivered it on a Sunday we left for Florida the following Thursday. I told the dealer we would have over 3,600 miles on it when we got back and asked if we should get the 3,000 mile service done on the road. He said it could wait until we got back...
