• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yeah, it looks like they gave me both of the old filters. I'll have to exchange them on Monday. The part numbers on the ones that came out are the new ones. Thanks

    Oil Change

I decided to do an oil change on my wife's 2011 RS SE5. We bought it used from a deal and it has 5156 miles on it. Given the miles it my not be due but it can't hurt and at least I will be sure when were are in the oil's life. I found this on the plug magnet. I wonder how worried I should be...

    Spyder accident in Redford, Michigan

It seems like the news wants to blame the traffic light or those responsible for its maintenance. Isn't it clear that the cause of the crash was that she didn't stop. She is totally responsible. Why didn't she stop? Well I don't think it matters if she knew the law about broken lights because...

    Stop Texting While Driving!

There was a story on our local news last week where a guy on a motorcycle yelled at a driver that was texting. So the driver just ran into him and drove off. The news reporter was interviewing the cyclist from his hospital bed. AT&T has some pretty good videos on T&D. I just wish they got a...

    Emergency Tire Repair

Same here. I like the compressor because It gives me an unlimited volume of air. I have a set of CO2's that a friend gave me but they sit at home in the tool box. The compressor is actually smaller and lighter. I had to use the plugs once but since I was at a gas station when I got my flat I...

HELP!!! Bad thermostat, where is it, how hard to change? 2012 RS-S

Is it actually hot? Could it be a bad temperature sensor and it is lying to you and the nanny? Just a thought.

    Brake Help

Is the pedal actually softer on the first press or is it just further down but still hard? I would suspect the reason would be the amount that the pads retract when the pedal is released. If the rotors are not running true that could do. But it I suppose you would feel it if that were the case.

Does anyone use MS Streets and Trips to plan routers on their Zumo?

I have been using MapSource which came with my Zumo 550 but is seems that they are now pushing BaseCamp. BaseCamp seems to make things harder to do than MapSource but I guess I have to suck it up and get used to it. I do see more features in BaseCamp though.

    Trailer questions

I've been shopping something similar. I need to carry a 2011 RS and a 2000 Kawasaki ZR7. I've done the garage layout and I think they would fit on a 6x11 trailer if I place the ZR7 front wheel behind the Spyder elf front wheel. If not I have an idea for a trailer mod that would allow the trailer...

    Sunkist and a traditional motorcycle

I bought the spyder for my wife but so far I have more miles on it than her. Now that I am used to the spyder, when I switch back and forth I don't really have any trouble other than I occasionally find my toe searching for the shift lever on the spyder. Its an SE, so there isn't one. On my...

    Laser vs Regular alignment

Thanks Guys I guess in the perfect world the rear wheel would be aligned to put the thrust line down the center of bewteen the front inner A-arm pivots, then the engine would be aligned to get the belt to track correctly, then the front wheels would be aligned to the thrust line. I was looking...
