• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    HAPPY SPYDER ANNIVERSARY...

...To me! :ohyea: Hard to believe I discovered and joined this site--well before anyone actually owned a Spyder, by the way--four years ago. For all the information, laughs, (and arguments) thanks to Lamont and all my online Spyder friends, several of whom became "offline friends!" :doorag...

Did you get your DPS done yet?

Dropped old PE#2929 off on Friday night at Pittsfield Lawn & Tractor (Pittsfield, MA) and got a message Saturday morning that it was done. (I probably should've just camped out in their showroom!) Brought it back tonight. Yes, of course it was snowing, tho' the temp gauge read 37 degrees. Or...

Did you get your DPS done yet?

Ha! "Back??!" What do mean, Deb?? I never left! (I just dozed off...for...a season...) Still got plenty snow here. Most ever, this winter. You?

Did you get your DPS done yet?

Going tomorrow for DPS #2 on old PE #2929, finally. BTW, a bit of Coast Guard trivia regarding the expression "beat the rush": The Revenue Cutter (now US Coast Guard) Rush was a late 19th century scourge on poachers in the Bering Sea looking to illegally harvest seals off the coast of the new...

    201X mileage as of today

Well, TECHNICALLY it starts in December, but the nasty came a while ago. Earliest ever with the snow was Halloween here, latest ever is usually Mothers' Day. Still, I am not allowed to whine too much or those Michigan folks will start telling their "walked to school five miles uphill both ways...

Yeah, um...it wasn't the bags, Reverend. (How many swords did you have in them?!) :yikes:

are the SPYDER dealers helping out

Ha! My ears were ringing, but I thought it was just my Micron causing it as usual. (Happy New Year, Deb & Brian!)

    201X mileage as of today

Hey, Bro, no big deal. :doorag: I haven't been on here in a while, so you might not remember that I don't post anything serious. Ever. :joke: Also, anybody who has ridden with me knows I seem to not be able to ride the Spyder unless its a torrential downpour, or 20 degrees outside, or a 40mph...

My 09 Phantom with LEDs, etc..

Yeah...ask anybody who has ridden behind me.

My 09 Phantom with LEDs, etc..

Even though I only have a semiphantom, I really like what you've done. Start saving up for a new sound system for when you replace that stock pipe with a Micron...

Thanks, Raptor, but that's just the glare from my bald head...

    201X mileage as of today

Every time someone asks "So how many miles you got on that thing?" I reply "A hundred. Done all in rain and snow." And then I sit back and allow them to explain to me how much better it is if I would use up my Spyder quicker...

Wheely? I think someone needs to do it

The very first time my lovely bride rode on the back of my '84 Nighthawk I pulled away from the light a bit too fast. Yep. Wheelie all the way down the block. The kids waiting at the bus stop were cheering. The lovely bride was unimpressed. "Accident." I said. "I wasn't used to the amount of...
