• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2022 Route 66 Ride

Well, my plans kept changing. I did a New York to Venice Florida this year. That said, I am working on plans to ride Route 66 again starting June 3, 2025. My plan is for a more casual route with most days being 300 miles or less. There are a couple of exceptions. For example, day #1 takes...

'21+ Radiator Fans not turning off - stuck relay! Blocked grills a cause?

Just had that happen to me riding back from Kentucky to Western NY. Called the local (and only area) dealer and they can't see my bike until June 28th! I pulled one of the main fuses to shut the fan down and have the battery on a trickle charger. I will check the service manual to see if I...

    Review: BRP Go! is going...going...GONE!!

BRP Go It took me a while to get the "original" BRP Connect to work well. When it was finally working, they switched to BRP Go. It does seem to have some benefits, but it is so hit and miss. It disconnects anytime I answer a phone call. Sometimes (often) it just stops responding after it is...

    2022 Route 66 Ride

Hi everyone. So sorry I have been out of touch. My plans to ride Route 66 this year ran into some barriers. Concern for gas prices being just one. I still plan to ride Route 66 again. Hoping for 2023. When I did it in 2015 with my VTX1300S I took 10 days. I started in Kentucky where my...

    Thoughts on the 2021 RT...

I like my 2021 RT Limited. I had a number of options added. The comfort seats are not what they promise in my opinion. I found my Ultimate Seats on my VTX1300 a lot more comfortable on long rides. I plan to install Ultimate Seats on the RTL in the future. Unfortunately, they are quite...

    2022 Route 66 Ride

I 40 is parallel to parts of Route 66. You just need to know where to get on. Some States mark it very well. Others you have to know where to go. I had turn-by- turn direction from a company that does tours and sells the navigation. There is a new version out by another company that is...

    2022 Route 66 Ride

In 2015 I rode solo Route 66. Really enjoyed the ride. I rode pretty hard logging 500 - 600 miles a day with one or two day stop overs at places like the Grand Canyon and L.A. I did this with my 2007 Honda VTX1300S. I am planning to ride Route 66 again in 2022 in a more leisurely fashion...

    Dealer shenanigan's?

I can only speak for the 2021 RT Limited. It does not have the bracket for the driver backrest installed as stock. The backrest bracket comes with the backrest.

    Is it me? Short RANT

Sometimes stuff just happens. From the notes on your signature block it looks like you have had a lot of bad “ luck.” I hope it gets better. By the way, my 2021 RT Limited does not have a vibration issue with the mirrors. Not sure if they made a modification. I believe the manufacture date...

BRP Connect question - should I bother to Bluetooth helmets to BRP Connect?

As others have said, BRP Connect is a big disappointment. It only connected successfully once for me. It would be great it it worked. I made the mistake of purchasing the updates for Genius Maps (a BRP Connect app) thinking it would work. I do not understand why BRP continues to highlight...

Hey Ya'll We Got A New Member! Lets welcome CKelley to SL

Thank you. Sorry I missed your post earlier. I loved riding Route 66 with my VTX. I think the RT ride will be even more enjoyable. When I did it in 2015 I was moving fast and did not stop at all the "attractions" I should have (or diners I should have gone to to talk to the locals). In...

    Communication Devices which works best

I have the Cardo sets. They work great, but I have had difficulty connecting with the BP Connect app. Sometimes it works flawlessly, sometimes it fails to connect. I need to dig into the BP Connect app more, as as seems to have significant issues. Might be the operator:)

    Where is the temperature sensor?

This thread has been interesting. I just picked-up a 2021 RT L and noticed the same thing. On the dash screen there is a temperature reading that suggests it is the outside temperature (e.g. 79F). However, if the other posts that suggest this reading is more to do with engine operation, BRP...

Hey Ya'll We Got A New Member! Lets welcome CKelley to SL

New RT Rider Until June 2020 I rode a Honda VTX 1300 that I customized for long hauls. Long story, but I sold it to my brother-in-law when I decided to pick up a human powered recumbent trike (they are expensive). When I decided to get back on a bike I decided to research the Spyder. Anyway...
