• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Oil leak at 100 miles! New 2024 S2S

Hardly. Way too many documented cases of problems, both minor and major (engine life ending). If you have a good one, keep it. Rotax quality control seems to have taken a nose dive in recent years.

Any issues getting parts for Bushtec Trailers air system?

As I get into the deconstruction of the trailer I purchased, finding what needs to be done, it is surprisingly little considering its 22-year-old status. Bushtec has metal Schraeder valves to replace the problematic plastic valve in the tongue. Monroe MA785 look to be a direct fit. My heim...

Anyone have experience with Ultra1 Plus 15W50 oil for their 1330? Opinions?

Agree, especially in new common rail/high pressure systems. Back in the day, you could 50/50 regular unleaded and 30 weight non detergent and get diesels down the road. Diesel in gasoline is a drain, refill correctly and keep cranking til it fires most of the time.

    Happy Anniversary email from BRP

3 Spyders in and crickets from BRP. Some folks have all the luck. I guess they are pretty busy with their ambassadors to care about the folks who keep their wheels turning.

When you did a Cat delete, did you notice any power increase? I did...

In comparison, the total motorcycle community is a small fish in a big ocean. We are not even on the EPA radar. They want the easy kill...coal rolling diesels, OTR trucks, etc.

Any issues getting parts for Bushtec Trailers air system?

Resurrecting an older thread with new info. Bushtec is no longer making trailers; but does still supply parts for them. 3.00x16 tires are out there. A thorough Google search will reveal Kenda, Heidenau, Duro and Shinko that will fit, with the Duro being regarded robust. 3.00x16 tubes are...

Sound Cameras will be installed in Montgomery County, Md.

In the United States, most states enforce a decibel limit of around 85 decibels for passenger vehicles when measured from a distance of 50 feet away. This limit is in place to prevent excessive noise pollution and to ensure that vehicles are operating within reasonable noise levels. Motor...

No performance change at all. A lot less heat though. Great sound with the Big City Thunder baffle. No decel pop.

Anyone have experience with Ultra1 Plus 15W50 oil for their 1330? Opinions?

Can you imagine straight 40? Although not labeled as such, several straight 40's would test out at 20w40 with no VI's. And it doesn't shear.

Anyone have experience with Ultra1 Plus 15W50 oil for their 1330? Opinions?

18cst @ 100c puts it at the bottom of the 50 weight scale. It will shear to a 40 weight in the 1330. I'm not going to say yea or nay, the opinions are strong with people when it comes to oil and choice. You can make a choice based on specs listed on their website. I'm not a fan of wide...

Should I buy new? Or keep the old 2014 RT Spyder?

Stay on that horse. I'd hesitate if you have it the way you want it.

What's best for Cold weather winter storage? Fuel additive? Battery care? Rodents?

As stated, a battery tender is a must. I've used several brands; almost all are good. I don't care for NOCO, they seem to fail early for me. I'm using a Motopower from Amazon currently. I never liked having the frunk open for the tender lead, so I put a cigarette lighter plug in the glove box...

First long ride coming, 2015 RTS - any advice?

Has the Spyder been vetted for safety and operation? Tires, lights, belt, brakes? If you don't know or aren't familiar, have a dealer check it over. No sense in starting a trip and having it go boink on day 2 because of something simple. GPS up to date, or using your phone? I have both; there's...

    Review: Got 7 Jurock Touring Windscreen 2022 RT-L - I'm impressed!

I received it yesterday. Only 13 days from order to arrival. I did call and spoke to them before ordering. They were professional, explained the process, said they were a smaller, family-owned business, and appreciated me as a customer. The screen is considerably larger than the factory screen...

Brake pad rubbing noise - what is the correct way to fix this?

My '19 used to squeal like a stuck pig. Several attempts were tried, both me and the dealer. It just never went away permanently, until I replaced the Brembo pads with another type. A lot of other brands of bikes use that same caliper, and there are many brake pads available out there. Use your...
