• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Five wheels

Back to the future After three weeks of exclusively riding the Fury as I try to reach first service miles, I got back on the Spyder today.  What a thrill.  It's kind of like "Toy Story" where the old toy gets neglected when the new toy comes, but the old toy still has lots of fun left in it. ...

    Rider Magazine

Current issue of Rider magazine (Sept 11) has positive review of Spyder and BRP. ;)

    New addition to the family

The Stryker has alot in common with the Honda Fury I bought last week, long and low. Didn't miss leaning until I leaned again. Remember to put your feet down.

    Five wheels

Simplicity It is a stark reminder of the too much information discussion with respect to the Spyder. Spyder tells you speed (analog and digtal), RPM, air temp, coolant temp, fuel level, time and gear. Fury has analog speedo and idiot lights for coolant temp, oil and fuel. I know many Spyder...

    Five wheels

Actually, it has as much plastic as the Spyder. Fenders and almost all the chrome you see are plastic. Engine, frame, pipes and tank are metal.

    Five wheels

Like many Spyder owners, I have been exclusively a three wheeled addict for three years. That ended on Friday when I was drawn back into the two wheeled world. Not to worry, the Spyder is still here and performed flawlessly on the five day trip to Gettysburg, but my dealer gave me great deal...

    Rehash of old topic

Getting ready to leave for Gettysburg/Antietam and weather report is for mid 90s. Trying to prepare the Spyder as well as possible for the heat and since I have all the SpyderPops add-ons, I decided to remove the splash guard from the radiator side. I took off the other side, but was just...

    Checking Oil Level

Exactly! I got frustrated trying to do the hot measure method and took a 12" plastic rod and push it to the bottom of the tank. I made a notch on it where the full and add marks are (about 8" from the bottom for full and about 7" from the bottom for add). Regardless of whether I measure hot...

    Milestone

In spite of my efforts to reach 10,000 miles before Scotty reached 10,000 posts, he won. I tried hard this week, but could only get to 9,600 miles. Sorry to call you out on this, but facts are facts and you are the source of many facts for us. Keep 'em coming. :D

Spyder gets hot quick, maybe too quick

For what it's worth, it has been posted several times that the bars/temperature scale is as follows: 1 bar = 153 degrees 2 bars = 171 degrees 3 bars = 183 degrees 4 bars = 207 degrees 5 bars = 223 degrees 6 bars = 230 degrees 7 bars - 237 degrees These are not unsual for water cooled...

    Needle in a haystack

Amazing. One and done. I searched internet sites and this site did not come up. Other sites that did did not have L, just S, XL, etc. Thanks. SpyderLovers to the rescue.

    Needle in a haystack

Tried on a helmet at dealer and it fit better than almost any helmet I've ever had. It was a Can Am TS-1, large, full face, black from 2010. I asked if they could order silver (full moon fixation) and they said it was no longer available. I thought that I would see if any SpyderLovers who wander...

    Bump for Scotty

I vowed not to make unnecessary posts, but when I saw that Scotty was at 8,995, all we need is a couple of good questions and we can get him to 9,000 before the day is done. :D

    Absence

I have been away from the site for awhile. Seven months ago today, I lost my wife. Heart attack at 60 after 40 years together. I visited the site a few times, but did not feel compelled to jump in on any of the threads. It simply did not seem very important as I tried to adjust to the loss...

    Transformers 3 Wheeler

Obviously patterned after the BRP product, but not licensed or marked in any way as a Spyder. A bigger version of the Hot Wheels design. Pretty neat and at this price, the Grandsons can play with them.
