• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Five wheels

Like many Spyder owners, I have been exclusively a three wheeled addict for three years. That ended on Friday when I was drawn back into the two wheeled world. Not to worry, the Spyder is still here and performed flawlessly on the five day trip to Gettysburg, but my dealer gave me great deal on a 2011 Honda Fury. Now I have five wheels in the garage, which pales by comparison to the collection of wheels many of you have. The Fury was simply as far from the Spyder as I could get. I didn't want a cruiser with bags and windshield competing for trip duty. The Fury is basically a frame, engine, seat and handlebars with no where to even put a toothbrush. It will be my boulevard/burger bike.

:congrats:

The lines on the Fury are clean and beautiful.

I am also a fan of cruisers--so enjoy my Vulcan a lot.

Nice one Junkie

Nice one Junkie. I test rode a Fury this past spring and really liked it. I like the way they concealed the radiator in between the frame. If I could afford another bike, I would like it to be a Fury. Maybe after a couple years once there are a few more used ones on the market. Congrats on a "Most Excellent" purchase. :2thumbs:

Actually, it has as much plastic as the Spyder. Fenders and almost all the chrome you see are plastic. Engine, frame, pipes and tank are metal.

That does seem to be a Paradigm Shift... until you figure in the Freedom Factor... :2thumbs:
Great-looking bike; I hope that you enjoy years of miles and smiles with it!

It's a Honda, It will last forever. Honda Mechanic's are like the Maytag repair man very lonely.

Simplicity

It is a stark reminder of the too much information discussion with respect to the Spyder. Spyder tells you speed (analog and digtal), RPM, air temp, coolant temp, fuel level, time and gear. Fury has analog speedo and idiot lights for coolant temp, oil and fuel. I know many Spyder owners probably don't focus on all the data that the cluster provides, but when I ride mine, I find myself drawn to the data. I could not be a bigger fan of the BRP "Riding Reinvented" Spyder, but it is nice to be oblivious to all that data and just ride.

:agree:Too much info makes some people Paranoid, and gives them Gray hair. My VTW 1800 didn't even have a Tac, When you have the right engine you don't need a tac.:D

Bob: now you probably have the answer as to why time was always fluctuating from 2:00 to 7:00 or so, everytime you rode the :spyder2: :roflblack:

SAAWEET!!

Beautiful ride, Junkie. I bet it's so nice to just jump on and go! And I do like that color very much! Great choice. Congrats Dude! :2thumbs:
