• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    non-forward sloping seat...

That's a huge endorsement and that was what I needed to hear. I also figure the STS seat is far less on the wallet as opposed to Corbin and other customs...thank you for your input...

    non-forward sloping seat...

In your opinion, is it more comfortable? I get my 'manhood' squashed under me with the forward sloping seat...on long trips, it's very uncomfortable. If the seat was straighter, softer, etc...it would probably protect against that. Plus, I'd figure the STS seat would fit on the GS/RS as...

    non-forward sloping seat...

Does anyone know if the ST seat sits straighter in comparison to the comfort seat? I have a 2008 GS/RS and love it...but with long trips, the forward sloping seat is very uncomfortable. I'm not really interested in a corbin or 1000.00 seat...just wondering if the ST or similar can do the job...

Tell me why you love your RS/GS...

I'd rather add the options myself as many of the stock options do not appeal to me. I have a 2008 GS and it's likely just like the ST with even more changes...I got to evaluate and pick what I wanted...I like it this way...you bike evolves... I think with cars, it's a little...

    Down shifting

good points...if you shift up or down at not the right rpm, you're going to get a jolt...when you become familiar with your bike, you learn just when to change gears... I got the Smooth Spyder belt tensioner on my bike...that also helps to smooth things out a little...recommended product!

    back tire air pressure

I go 17 and 27...many have found that too much more pressure will lead to uneven tire wear (too little tread on the ground). There have been many talks about this over the last several years...you want more tire on the road for more traction, unless you're in the snow...more pressure is like a...

    Hit Air bag Jackets

I do have one and wear nothing else. The only distributor, if he remembers me, said that spyderlovers could get a 50.00 discount. I've had mine for about 3 years. It has a great liner for colder weather and it's quite sporty. Order a size or two up...they're cut quite small.

    looking for a diferent seat

I do fundamentally like the look of the seat...that's a really good idea...I'll call a place or two and see if it is possible...thank you...

    looking for a diferent seat

Corbins cost to much for my budget...plus, they do have questionable customer service, at times. I know they make a great product, but they're like 800-1000.00...anyone know of anything cheaper that gets the job done well?

    looking for a diferent seat

I have a comfort seat on my GS and after a couple of years, I've decided that I don't like the forward tilt to it...my manhood gets crushed under myself with longer rides...anyone have a relatively price comfortable product that is more straight up and down? Is the new ST seat better and is it...

    Gas Milage with the RS

If you get 30, you're doing fine. My sentiment is that anyone getting 35ish is driving it like a granny. If you have a manual and punch it on twisties and like some speed here and there, you're not going to get 35. When I 'cruise' with my harley buddies, I get around 33...when I ride in a...

    MSRP just the start

Well over $5000, and counting...I don't plan on getting rid of the Spyder no matter what they come out with...I'm not one of those 'must have the latest and greatest' just to waste more money. I prefer to customize my bike just the way I want it. The bike should last a long time...let the mods...

    Ohio couple killed

Horrible to hear this...but again, no helmets, more deaths...period! The bike is still very, very hard to flip...you really have to over-do it to get it to do so. Some people really like to live on the edge no matter what they're riding/driving. No helmet, fast speed, sharp turns...not a good...
