• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Front suspension clunk in reverse when braking

Hey, thanks! Interestingly, that was my next step. I wasn't quite convinced about it, but after watching the video, I'm now persuaded to give it a try. Thanks! :-)

Front suspension clunk in reverse when braking

Dear moderators Apologies for posting this here , but my search for 'Front suspension', 'noise at front', 'front suspension clunk', or any other method yields no answers. Here's my issue: there's no noise when I brake hard while moving forward. However, if I reverse and then brake somewhat...

Can you feel the heating element in your RT Ltd 2023 heated seat?

I can confirm that the technician was truthful; every seat I inspected this morning has that lump. All is well now. thanks to all for your input

Can you feel the heating element in your RT Ltd 2023 heated seat?

Honestly, I don't feel anything when I sit on it, and I find the seat much more comfortable than my previous Goldwing. Its my wife, who notices everything, spotted it a week ago... Geeezzz I've washed it five times and ridden it for 3000 miles, and I never feel a thing, ;)

Can you feel the heating element in your RT Ltd 2023 heated seat?

Hi, When you rub or press on the middle of your RT's driver seat, do you notice a small lump or mass? It seems I can feel the heating element. My dealer informed me that BRP stated this is normal and how they are manufactured. The technical advisor confirmed BRP's statement after inspecting his...

2024 RT wont shift into reverse

Mine did the exact same thing on top of Mount Washington Wednesday morning! Naturally, after that, I parked the Spyder nose down close to a huge stone... The odd part was that when I pressed the reverse button, the engine RPM would increase slightly, like a small blip of the throttle – it was...

What's this shaft for on Left Side of my RTL under/behind front sprocket?

It's reassuring. :) I will climb Mount Washington on Wednesday. :)

What's this shaft for on Left Side of my RTL under/behind front sprocket?

I've used the search function, but nothing came out so I'm sorry if this topic's been brought up before... While inspecting the left side of my RT 2023, behind the driver's footpeg, I noticed a shaft protruding from the gearbox with a spline at the end that isn't connected to anything. Is this...

Amsoil 10w-40 metric oil - what do you think?

BRP recommends the use of 5W-40 oil, but "recommend" does not imply it is mandatory.

Another Oil Thread (sorry!) - Has anyone tried using Mobil 1 10W40?

You cant go wrong with Mobil 1 10w40 This is coming directly (2 emails) from BRP Canada last week ... I hope you are doing well. I just received a response to your question from the appropriate team: For the oil, we recommend XPS 4T 5W40 synthetic oil. If XPS is not available, you can...

Anybody used Castrol EDGE Euro 5W-40 A3/B4 Adv Full Synthetic Motor Oil?

I shared the information, and one can use it as they see fit; I don't mind. To each their own; my only concern was that it might be valuable to someone.

Anybody used Castrol EDGE Euro 5W-40 A3/B4 Adv Full Synthetic Motor Oil?

Hey hey, I'll be using both specifications because I don't fully trust them (SN Jaso), but I felt the need to share this. :) The 2024 RT owner's manual has been updated, and JASO is now included, but only as an option. ;)

Anybody used Castrol EDGE Euro 5W-40 A3/B4 Adv Full Synthetic Motor Oil?

I mentioned to some that I would return once I received the response from BRP. At last, BRP provided the comprehensive answer I sought, which was not easy to obtain. Whether you comment or not, it's the same to me, but I thought it would be interesting for some to read what BRP had to say...

Anybody used Castrol EDGE Euro 5W-40 A3/B4 Adv Full Synthetic Motor Oil?

TheMariner, I have received the reply. In their email, they adhere strictly to the wording of the manual. If XPS is unavailable, we must use Synthetic 5w40 with API SJ, SL, SM, or SN classifications. There is absolutely no mention of JASO... The origin of the requirement frequently seen on...
