• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The book states that fuel tank capacity is 7.1 U.S. gal. Does anyone know if is to the bottom of the filler tube or total size of the tank? If it is total size of tank how much will it hold when empty to the bottom of the filler tube?

TANK SIZE

I think the new F-3 is slightly larger, but the 2014 RT is 7.1 ---- This measurement is the total space? volume ....not the actual gas capacity .....which can't be achieved because of the AIR SPACE needed !!!!..........The same applied with the earlier gas tanks............Mike

My F3S SE6 held 7.02 gals first fill up from Pitbull Powersport April 2015

My 2015 F3S gas tank I know holds 7.02 gals; as I filled up after buying F3S from Len at Pitbull Powersports, Springfield, Mo.
Easy 200 mile+ gas tank range; average about 39 mpg.

Did you just fill it to the bottom of the tube or did you fill it to the top?

7.1 gallons for the F-3
6.9 for the newest RTs...

I'd hate to bet on what they actually hold.
But I've travelled as far as 220.2 miles, only put in 5.188 gallons: 42.4 mpg!
The low fuel light has NEVER made an appearance on my bike, and I have stuffed as much as 5.492 gallons in it...

My light comes on when it goes to one bar on the gauge. I have put 5.9 in mine.

I have put 6.4 gallons twice in my 2014 RTL
and 6.3 once
could not have had much left in tank
each time I put right around 250 miles on bike

Not to slam a vendor, Leaders Marine in Kalamazoo is not a Pitbull Powersports by any stretch of the imagination. They do however, when you purchase a new bike, provide you with a FULL tank of fuel @ delivery!!! Geeze louise should you expect any less??? :lecturef_smilie::lecturef_smilie::opps:

I normally go 200 miles before getting gas. On occasion 210 or 220 but my light has come on a time or two. I love the mileage on the '14. It is cool running 100 miles or more on just a half a tank of gas.

Just rode up to Idaho City out of Boise with a friend who has a 2010 RT. Jim used a full tank of fuel and my F3 still had at least 3/4 of a tank.
