Unfortunately, your question is almost as hard to answer meaningfully as would be to say what the average size of an afternoon billowy cloud is! This has been discussed before and the answers vary from $300 to $1300 per year, depending largely on where you live. Do a search on insurance. You'll find lot's of comments about prices paid. What is the average cost of insuring a Spyder?

I pay about $300/year for both the Spyder and an ATV.
Straight from my policy page at Geico. Total annual premium for the Spyder is $248. My car insurance is with them also so I multi-vehicle discount. With who? What kind of coverage?
For Others
The below coverages pay out to other parties if the accident is your fault.
Bodily Injury Liability ?
$34.00, $100,000 per person/$300,000 per occurrence

Property Damage Liability ?
$11.00, $50,000 per occurrence
Pays if you are responsible for damage to another person's property.
For You
The below coverages pay out to you and your passengers.
Uninsured Motorist Bodily Injury ?
$0.00, I Reject this Coverage
Pays for your injuries caused by a driver without insurance.
Underinsured Motorist ?
$26.00, $25,000 per person/$50,000 per occurrence
Pays for injuries caused by drivers who don't carry enough coverage to pay for the amount of damage they caused.
There is no meaningful premium amount, that can be considered as "average".
Insurance rates are determined by a host of variables:
Age
Marital Status
Driving Experience
Driving Record
Credit Reports
Your Location
Your Vehicle
Your Selected Coverages...

Your best bet, is to contact an Independent Insurance Agent in your location, and have them shop around for you.
This is 100% correct and I will add that you need to shop around. Different insurance companies target different demographic categories. For instance, a married 40 something without kids (that would be me) might get the best rate from company X but company Y will give that best rate to people over 50 with children. Obviously your risk assessment (accidents, tickets, dui's, etc) will be a factor as well.
Just to add another person's experience to your data, I pay about $600 a year to insure an FZ1, Ninja 650R and an F3s for my wife and I. I have been with Progressive since 2006 and am a "diamond member" because of it which gets me things like free accessory coverage and accident forgiveness. Because of my profession, I carry a lot of coverage. Regardless of what you do, I suggest at least 100k/300k in uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage. This will require you to buy the same amount of bodily injury liability coverage, but having seen many people who were severely injured in accidents, you can only access as much money as there is to be had. Most people don't carry much coverage and when theirs runs out, the UM kicks in.
Good luck.
This is like asking what is the average cost of a Spyder? It depends on what level of coverage you choose, your driving record, and where you live.. There is no such thing as full coverage.. -- only different levels of coverage. You can always obtain more coverage if you are willing to pay more and get lower price if you are willing to lower your coverage limitsWhat is the average cost of insuring a Spyder?
