There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Tire Air Pressure Gauge

I know this has come up in the past, but I've found the gauge that came with my Spyder to be inconsistent. I'd like to find something reasonably priced that will give me accurate and consistent readings on my tires that is easy to use with all three wheels (that rear one always seems to difficult to get to no matter how the wheel is positioned).

Even better would be something I could hook up to the air hose at the gas station that would eliminate the need to go back and forth between the air hose and the gauge to get the tire pressure where I'd like it to be. I've seen these, but I don't know how they interact with the gauges already on the gas station hoses (which I wouldn't trust, of course).

$25 or less would be a great price point, but I'll spend a few more dollars if the value is there.

Thoughts?

My air chuck has a tire pressure gauge and a short extension hose to fit those tight places. Im not sure of its accuracy but as long as its consistent is all I care. Its not like filling air shocks. I have a small air pump for that that does not loose any air on the disconnect.

The front tires are like shocks and the factory spec is ±0.25psig from tire to tire which is very hard to do with normal tire pressure gauges that may only have a repeatably of ±2.0psig.

Really?, Ill have to fine tune them to specs. What should I be running? The pump I have is very accurate but it is a small hand pump and take a lot of pumping to get it where you want it on a tire.

Hi JT! :D
What air pressure gauge would you suggest for the task? :dontknow:

Well it's over the OP's budget but I use my Dual Fill for my front tires so they have exactly the same pressure. When I first purchased the RT it pulled to one side so I drove it 80 miles to the nearest dealer and the mechanic said my tire pressure was not even on the front tires... the rest is history.

So for $75.00 bucks; this is the right tool for the job...:2thumbs:
Question: How accurate is the gauge?

That one is out of stock and is 0-100 pounds which is hard to read.

Here is one that shows 0-30 pounds and is in stock.

edit
this pumps gauge will get damaged if you use an air compressor that has more than 30 pounds of pressure.
It says the best way to use it is with a bicycle hand or foot pump.

I'd blow the top right off of a 30 psi gauge... :yikes:
(NO talent whatsoever with power tools, and too lazy to use the manual ones!)

This gauge works well for me

As for the FOBO system, you don't have the cloud following you around. The cloud is only used for sharing the system with another phone.

That sounds like the best option. Even if you use the dual fill gizmo, you could still get uneven pressure on the disconnect. Im for keeping things simple and practical to keep on the bike at all times.

How easy or difficult is it in checking the rear tire pressure with this gauge?

Not easy but you can. I roll the Spyder till the stem is at the bottom and then lay on the ground to get on it.
The rear is simply not easy to check with just about anything.

But I have the FOBO system so now the only issue is crawling under there to put air in when I need to which is not really that often.
